    1. I don't care how "childish" anyone says these books are. They are great and paint, to a close perfection, the life of high school friendships--later transitioning to college. They're poiniant, captivating, and well written. They make you laugh, they make you cry. It's a beautiful thing.Confession: I own them all and have read each of them at least twice. Okay, three times.

    2. I LOVED these books. Awesome set of characters. I couldn't put them down and love re-reading them. I felt like I saw myself and my friends in the characters.

    3. I love these books. It is funny because when you describe the premise of the book it can sound silly. But these books are deeper than that.

    4. Spur of the moment buy, although I had bought the Boxed Paperback-set in 2010 for nearly the same (not too high, but not really cheap) price. EBooks should have been cheaper, but whatever. With my current chaotic reading pattern and a rather high TBR, it might be another 7 years till I read them though. Also, this is not the complete series, there is a fifth book I picked up cheap in 2016 Sisterhood Everlasting and a few additional books, which may be ripp-offs (companion letters, etc.).Also ther [...]

    5. Yet another series whose exact position in my literary journey I cannot remember. Nonetheless, I do recall all four books adorably adding on to one another to an eventual pinnacle that I am sure had its effect on my reading and life in its own way.

    6. I was surprised by this series because I thought it was for a younger crowd but when nothing was on TV except for the first movie & I enjoyed the movie I thought I would read the book (s) for comparison. I have not seen the second movie b/c I wanted to finish the books first. Yes some deviations that I thought were important occurred BUT it did not bother me as I enjoyed both. Now I see that another book has been done & heard gossip about another movie and I going to read that book next [...]

    7. If I were to have to choose a favourite author it would be Ann Brashares because of this series. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is a series that every girl of any age needs to read at least twice in her life. Its about love and friendship and life and loss and heartbreak and putting the pieces back together. I read the first book when I was 10 and I loved it, but I stopped before book 2. Now years later I read the back of Sisterhood Everlasting and I felt this incontrollable need to read them [...]

    10. I started reading these books while I was on vacation in the DR because I wanted a story I knew and wouldn't need to put much thought into while I was relaxing.Having seen the movies first, I knew how the stories that would unfold and yet I was still interested in reading each of the novels in the series because they were different enough from the movie to keep my interest.I enjoyed how with each book you saw the characters grow. Brashares does a very good job at reflecting the growth in maturit [...]

    11. These books were fun reads and definitely reminded me of how it as to be a teen and all the drama. The friendships were touching and I could relate to each of the characters in different ways, but I could have done without the repetitive emphasis on teen sex. In a couple instances, I felt the author did the subject a little bit of justice because the characters endured the heartbreak, uncertainty, etc. that inevitably results, but in the end, the subject was just treated too casually. And by the [...]

    12. These books are very easy to relate to and all hold a deeper meaning. Reading the back cover, you would expect a light, fluffy read, but for me it was more than that.I relate to each character in a different way.Lena: We are both reflective, artistic beings.Bridget: I often crash emotionally as she does and our minds work similarly.Carmen: I know what it's like to feel replaced within your family, my dad didn't get engaged but not tell me, he got married and had a stepson my age and I was only 1 [...]

    13. I've always loved these books so much- for me they are home in so many ways. When I'm ever sad they're a comfort and I feel like they were written so beautifully and the theme of undying bonds of sisterhood and friendship are so strong and it flows so well. Each one is not the same without the other 3 either, so to truly love them it's important (from my pov) to read them all! They are lovely and the relationship brighten you because they're so life like and sweet to the heart.

    14. I really liked these even though they are teen romance novels. Basic plot is that they believe a pair of jeans magically helps them in their lives, whether to learn tough lessons about being unselfish to being more responsible. It really is a fun set of books to read, and they do make a good point (though not as conservative as I am) about not having teenage sex. The characters are also very real in many respects. Fun, Fun, Fun.

    15. I liked these. They were a bit of fun. Will I read them over and over again? No. But I may read them again at some point. I would think that they would be a likeable, fun bood by most. They are YA but I would proably have someone wait until at least 14 before reading them. Possibly later depending on the person. This opinion is based on some themematic elements.

    16. What can I say? I'm a sucker for frivilous young adult novels that don't require me to think much. I loved this lighthearted story- it brought me back to my highschool/college years. My girlfriends and I would definetly have done something as silly as sharing a pair of pants that we believed held us together. It was a fun read. Now I need to go watch the movies.

    17. I just finished rereading these books, and they are just as good as I remember. Having entered my 30's, I still find the friendships in the book relatable and interesting. Book 2 is my favorite but I love the entire series. I can't wait to read Sisterhood Everlasting, the reason I decided to reread the series.

    18. These books are written for and read by teens and preteens?!! I certainly wouldn't let any daughter of mine read them! Talk about teaching girls its okay to be loose, and that friends are more important than family. Bleh!

    19. While I really enjoyed the first two books of this series and the fun with the pants the last two books quickly degenerated into first sexual experiences. I felt like what made the first two books cute and fun was missing in the latter two.

    20. Loved this series of books! And for me, this is the completed series. I read Sisterhood Everlasting and try to pretend that book doesn't exist because it was totally disappointing how she finalized everything.

    21. Written for a young adult audience, this book series is about the friendship of four girls and the turns that their lives take. I thought the character development and writing was good. It was interesting watching the girls reactions to growing up and coming of age. It took me back in time.

    22. this series still makes me cry, one of my favorites. it's so real and true, sad and joyful. you feel like you are those girls, and you can also very much relate to them whether it's a personal situation or your relationship with your friends.

    23. 4* I enjoyed the 'sisterhood' books immensely! They are a light summer read and yet I got very drawn into the stories of these 4 girls I had to keep reading because I hoped their lives and relationships would turn out happy!

    24. What can I say? A total chick set of books that was completely absorbing and reminded me a lot of my high school friendships AND a lot of my current friendships. I loved these books from a purely entertaining and reminiscent point of view.

    25. call me a weirdo but this was super cool to read. granted, it't no classic yet it really spoke to me back when i read it. yes, i was ridiculed but to heck with themis made me happy.good read. makes you feel warm inside :D

    26. This is my favorite series. The girls in these books are very easy to relate to. Despite how old you are teens and women of all ages should read these. You will find yourself completely absorbed into their lives.

    27. The first two made me cry. The last two I had to read because I was already addicted but weren't nearly as good. You feel like you can relate to each of them at different times of their growing up stories.

    28. I really liked these books. It was such a fun but touching story about 4 girls growing up. They are quick reads. And my most favorite part ( you might think I am funny but) I loved the quotes at the beginning of each chapter.

    29. A cute reminder of the power of great friends. I picked it up as total brain candy but found myself relating to the characters. I love my own group of amazing girls and we enjoyed reading these together. I wish the author had followed the characters through college and later in life.
