    1. Hard to review this one without giving too much away. For more, please see my review at Hearts On Fire Reviews - 3.5 stars I found this story quite enjoyable, as I haven’t read many dragon shifter stories. The writing is smooth and sufficiently descriptive. My only real dislike here was the somewhat insta-love aspect. Roark feels it right away, and even though it takes a while for Ian to come around to realizing what will make him happy and for them to reunite, things just happened a bit too f [...]

    2. 3.5 starsThis was a cute, quick little story. I really enjoyed the dragon shifter part. Definitely going to continue reading the series!

    3. Original Blogspot: headouttheoven/20What can I say? I absolutely love dragons. This means I hunt down books with these very magical creatures for the main characters, no matter the genre. So when hunting through various works, again ~♥ Elle ♥~'s recommendation comes to the rescue. Written by none other than Charlie Richards, it was quite difficult to stay uninterested after reading the blurb. It also is a huge help that it is set in my great grandmother's homeland. Quite a welcome combinatio [...]

    4. The combination of dragons and men in kilts had me rushing to buy this book, curious what kind of story Charlie Richards would come up with for the beginning of this new series. Let me tell you, based on what I have read here, it will be a good one! Set in a medieval-feeling Scotland-like environment, this story about a chieftain's second son and the dragon shifter he meets and falls for is a great mix between fairy tale and very hot paranormal story. A great start for this new series!Ian is a m [...]

    5. This story had a lot of really cool world building and I was really excited for it but then it romance was just BANG we knew each other for like a day and we love each FOREVAH. Disclaimer, insta-love is one of my hate tropes. I really enjoyed the writing and the world building and the characters but I really didn't like the romance/sex aspect. If you enjoy insta-love though, you would probably enjoy this story.

    6. 1.5 stars This was supposed to be highlander story with fantasy elements like dragon shifters, but it was anything but. If you want to write the story about highlanders you have to try harder, like beyond just adding aye and ye. There were couple of idioms too, modern ones. Ridiculous And it was so predictable and shallow that it was painful.I won't be reading the rest of the series

    7. I love a good M/M romance. I love dragons. This cute little story covers both. I also like the fact that this story is NOT MPREG. Too many authors seem unable to write a dragon shifter story without an MPREG angle. Thanks to the author for getting that part right. I would have liked this to be a bit longer with a bit more angst/drama as well as more passion (that does not mean gratuitous sex). One thing that did bother me, and which I found rather distracting, was the language. Ian and his clan [...]

    8. This was a pretty good short story. It started off really well, before the two MCs met each other, and after it became pretty normal. There was pretty much a case of love at first sight which means that everything went pretty quickly. There were no fights or misunderstandings between the couple, so that was a plus. It's a good story to pass the time and could probably even be a comfort read, if you're into fantasy, however it did end in a HFN.

    9. HiddenThe dragons lived in a hidden valley to insure the safety of their kind. Roark was after a dragon endangering their existence. Ian was on a mission for his father. Love took the lead.

    10. 3.5 StarsStarted good and then when the MCs meet it's wham bam insta love, that just doesn't work for me. The setup and story line were good so I'm hoping the next books in the series are better.

    11. 3.5 HeartsReview written for MM Good Book Reviewsmmgoodbookreviews.wordpress/I just love a nicely spun erotic tale with dragons, but when in that tale we have the added bonus of men in kilts, well what more can one ask?I loved this novella; it was fascinating and extremely gripping. As the title of the series (because yes! this is a series) says, this the tale of a Highland Dragon, Roark and how he met his soul mate in the face of Ian. The plot was fun. Ian was sent to kill a dragon only to fall [...]

    12. This was the first story in a new series and I was so excited when I saw that it was about dragons and men in kilts. Yummo! When rumor comes to the chieftain of the clan of a dragon near one of the northern towns, he sends his son Ian to check it out. Ian has doubts of a real dragon and thinks the people are more than likely just trying to make an excuse to avoid the annual tax. He doesn't really care though and is more than happy to be sent away because it allows him to avoid the other duty his [...]

    13. 4.5 Kisses!Dragons, sexy accents and men in kilts…oh my! What’s not to like about For a Dragon’s Touch by Charlie Richards? Between the hot heroes, fast-paced story and the romance between them…this was definitely a quick and enjoyable read for me!There is a lot going in this story and I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll tread lightly with my review. I liked the forbidden love between the two men and thoroughly enjoyed the story they told. Everything is not always what it seems t [...]

    14. This is one of those books that are hard to review because I actually liked a great part of it.Problem is that that part is not so big as this book is just shy of 100 pages. What I liked was the authors attempt to build this world of medieval highlands with a secluded clan of dragons. With a little work the idea might have been golden. Now it's so so. I liked Roark. At least up to the last chapters. I think his balloon popped. Sadly that was most of what I liked about the book. The dialogue was r [...]

    15. Well. This is actually a sub-subgenre now, I guess. Medieval/fantasy type world with dragon shifters mating human men. At least there are no male pregnancies in this one. This one’s a light, easy story. Okay, it is very light on the plot, but I figure such things do well enough for taking one’s mind off an upset stomach. No fated mates, but love happens like lightning, I guess. Apparently it’s enough to go through one dragon fight, two chats and a single roll in the hay together to be in lov [...]

    16. thetbrpile.weebly/1/post/2This is a great story for anyone who likes both shape shifters and men in kilts! The concept of asociety of dragon shifters that lives near but separate from the humans is not new, but is handled well in this story. The attraction between the two men is quick, but is given time to grow and is tested when Ian leaves for home and again when he is in danger. I thought it was a great beginning to a series.

    17. I thought this was a great start to a new series; I love the characters and set up! Neat world building and the ‘ye ole’ language is lightly peppered in the story and doesn’t detract. It does follow the series shifter premise of an instant connection that falls very quickly into love but I thought the book was well written enough to overlook the clichés. Those that don't like Alpha/Alpha pairings may want to skip this though. 3.5 stars for me. Looking forward to more!

    18. I love dragons! I loved Roark's personality, he is tough yet sweet and even though he was a dragon he didn't assert his dominance and will over Ian. But I would have loved this story more if (view spoiler)[ the scene where Ian confronted his father was written and didn't happen off page (hide spoiler)]. It was short but a very enjoyable read.

    19. It was a cute and really nice to read story, but if felt like substance was missing from both sides the dragon and the clan, I would have liked a bit more insight into the dragons' history as well as the clans, so it felt a bit bare Hope the next book has a bit more info. I love the romance but building on something is even better.

    20. Ok, I liked it but there was a lot wrong with it. The historical accuracy of the story is very doubtful. There were lots of things wrong with the dress and words used. There wasn't much of a story let alone a plot. Pretty thin on story and believablity but still I had fun reading it. It was enjoyable when you know not to expect so great story.

    21. This story was a sexy quick read. It had an interesting world it created. Not many stories pull me in this quickly, but I spent most of the time I was supposed to be sleeping saying, 'just one more chapter.'

    22. Okay and amusing story. Yay dragons, but with a flimsy plot and so so world building. While pseudo historic fantasy, I doubt they had cotton in the highlands and used the word fuck among other things.

    23. Now that series is truly foolish, to the point of being absurd, but heck as they say "Don't look a gift-horse in the mouth". Personally this series is childish and bland, but lets see how it continues.

    24. FIRST FULL RE-READ 5 March 2017I came at this this time with much clearer expectations, and I think that's why I enjoyed it so much more.Favorite Quote: "Ye know I value a man's honor, and I do think ye're actions are admirable, but I also think ye're a fucking idiot."

    26. Three and a Half stars!!! I love this series. I just found Ian and Roark a little difficult to connect with.

    27. 3.5 rounded up. It's got dragons and men in kilts, what else do you want? Fun story, I liked that this is a different series and has dragons!
