    1. This one is for the boy child. I can't draw a straight line but he seems to like it.d he is obsessed with dino's. That's been his Christmas list for the last six years. Anything Dino. When he saw this was available on blogging for books he offered to clean his room if I requested it. Room still not clean but I'm sure he will be bribed to do it at some point and time. Yeah, right.Anyways. is how the book looks.Totally out of my league but he will have fun. 3 stars from me4 from him. He won this t [...]

    2. Draw-A-Saurus is quite possibly the coolest, most entertaining dinosaur book ever! It's more than just a step-by-step guide to draw your own rrrrrrawr-worthy dinos, it's also a great adventure filled with fun facts, exciting tidbits of information and plenty of humor. This book is perfect for any adventure-loving child who likes to draw or paint - boys will be crazy about it, but I'm pretty sure girls will love it too! And, to be perfectly honest, I myself - being a 30-year-old mom - had a fanta [...]

    3. I am not an artist at all, drawing is a challenge for me. First off I laughed when I opened up the book to see dinosaurs holding the things I would need, drawing materials. One dinosaur grabbing the paper with it's mouth and the other has the pencil I would definitely need and another creature with the eraser in it's mouth, so cute. Oh do not forget the pens for final work which a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex is using and another small dinosaur with the markers for color. You notice I mention the dino [...]

    4. READ IN ENGLISH Read all my reviews on urlphantomhiveoklikes I received a free copy from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review, thank you!I've got a thing for Dinosaurs. So I couldn't resist this book completely about Dinosaurs, even though it's a drawing book for children. And I didn't expect I would like it as much as I did, because it is more than just drawings of Dino's.First of all, instead of giving you just one position to make your drawing (something that always di [...]

    5. This book will help you draw all of the prehistoric reptiles you could ever want. It starts you at the beginning with gathering your supplies and leads you all the way through to the very end with composing your backgrounds and adding fine details to your drawing. The dinosaurs are split into logical groups and basic instruction is provided for each type of dinosaur along with variations. Where it is possible Silvani has included a current animal to use as a reference, even if that reference onl [...]

    6. If you are into dinosaurs, or art, or both, then this book is definitely for you. Kids and adults are fascinated with these humungous, beautiful creatures who roamed the earth 65 million years ago. I know that this book will bring delight as fun facts are woven throughout the pages, the history of the dinosaur is shared and best of all, the reader learns how to break down and draw these complex creatures by following easy, step-by-step instructions. Silvani has incorportated history and science [...]

    7. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. My daughter picked this one because a) she LOVES dinosaurs, b) she LOVES books and c) she loves drawing. This caught her eye immediately. I expected her to love it, but I found myself opening it up and skimming through it and enjoying it as well. It's a really well done How to Draw type of book. It begins with your materials and takes you through to the finishing touches. Instead of just giving you the step by step (it does tha [...]

    8. I’m not very talented in the art department, but something drew me to James Silvani’s Draw-A-Saurus: Everything You Need To Know To Draw Your Favorite Dinosaurs. This how-to book mixes art technique, imagination, scientific facts, and silly humor to create a truly special, outrageously entertaining read!Silvani provides young readers with simple, accessible step by step instructions on how to draw a wide array of dinosaurs. Even those with minimal drawing experience (ahem, me!) will find the [...]

    9. This is a great book for kids (and the rest of us) to learn how to draw dinosaurs. My middle son loves dinosaurs with a passion and this book helped him learn step-by-step how to draw them. What I liked about this book vs. the usual learn to draw books, is that the author took the time to make it fun for the intended audience. Rather than just lacing it through with boring dinosaur facts as most do, he made it fun with little facts and quips and some silly pictures. The drawings are easy to emul [...]

    10. Well, "read." It isn't the sort of book you read line by line. I looked at every page and read all the humorous bits. Ever want to draw a tyrannosaurus off to pick blueberries in a bonnet with a basket in its little arms? This is the book for you. The drawing tips are excellent, showing angles, poses, actions, etc. and hints are given on how to render the bits we don't know about - skin, coloring, feathers vs scales. This is so much fun too look at, you might possibly be delayed in drawing becau [...]

    11. This is a nifty wee "how to draw" book that goes one stage further than the step-by-step illustrations - it encourages you to look at the subject from a variety of angles, to get creativity with adornments and colouration and to use your imagination. Facts are combined with some crazy quirks - silly saurus pictures like a T-Rex skipping or a pterosaur fishing, complete with rod. My only (very minor) concern is that the silly facts may overshadow the true facts and that for the very young and gul [...]

    12. This book is so fun!!!I've read through the whole book even though I only drew 1 dino:)I can draw a bit but I've never tried tackling dinosaur but with the step by step and the silly things put through out it made it more fun and easy I even opened the book up to t-rex page (the Dino I drew) and let my kiddos draw it. They didn't do to bad for a 4 and 6 year old :) And there were random things throughout that were cute/funny My only issue with it was the times, you know 62 millions of years ago [...]

    13. Draw-a-saurus by James Silvani is a beautifully drawn book that teaches children how to draw those classically loved dinosaurs. This book provides hours of entertainment for children and at the same time have found a way to weave important facts about these specific dinosaurs. Though drawing books are a thing of the past, with new and improved electronic devices, this book is a must have. Silvani has provides detailed step by step instructions and words of encouragement to aid kids into drawing. [...]

    14. My five-year-old son loves dinosaurs. I wanted to review this book to see if it was something that he might enjoy and I can say that he loves it too (in fact, he thinks it is his book). Now, let me be clear, this book is advanced for a five-year-old. To be totally honest, it is a little honest for my five-year-old’s dad :) But, the description are easy to follow and I felt like I did not have to be an expert artist (or even a proficient artist) to be able to start drawing dinosaurs. This will [...]

    15. I was sent a copy of the book for review through Net Galley, as always, all opinions are my own.I pulled this out the other night while I was babysitting my friend’s son. He’s into his dinosaur phase right now, they’re all he wants to talk about so I thought we’d spend some time learning how to draw them. The step-by-step directions were easy to follow and we spent several hours on our drawings. It’s a great book for any dinosaur fan, even if they aren’t a budding artist.

    16. This is such a cute book! As an artist myself, I can tell you that the instructions are really good, but they're easy enough that even my little boy was able to do some pretty accurate drawings using the book. And there's lot of interesting information about dinosaurs waved throughout the book, as well. Time well spent in this book.FTC Disclosure: I received this book free from the publisher in exchange for my review. The opinions in this review are my own.

    17. Loved this easy to follow how-to book. I even drew a T-red the next day for my son. He took it to school and some of the boys wanted me to draw one for them. So thanks to this book I earned my Mother of the Day award. Now I'm showing my son how to draw them. *I was given this book in exchange for an honest review via NETGALLEY*

    18. I really liked how this book went about teaching you to draw dinosaurs. Most how to dray books are similar and full of pencil sketched circles that eventually become a horse, dog, or dinosaur. But Mr. Silvani, talks not just about how to draw, but how to make your dino's pop, and how their body types are similar to other animals.

    19. Fantastic balance between learning to draw accurately (learning the skeletal structure of a dinosaur, which ones had feathers etc) and just having some fun with it (now that you can draw a reasonably accurate pterodactyl, why not put him in a spacesuit?).

    20. Love to draw? Love dinosaurs? Easy-to-follow art exercises provide a great adventure filled with fun facts and laugh-out-loud humor. (reviewer #7)
