    1. From the first page I had a feeling I was watching a good old horror movie. But as it turned out later, Circus of Lost Souls was more than that. It falls into a category of books that are hard to put aside once you start reading them. Myra Anderson and a bunch of students arrive at Cirque du Lune that from day one seems a creepy and eerie place. The further, the creepier it gets.Myra Anderson is haunted by her childhood memory of seeing a dead boy, but she still goes to the circus with her boyfr [...]

    2. Characters: Myra Anderson is the perfect character to tell this story through. She has been indelibly affected by a trauma when she was a child. Fortunately, this takes the mysterious aspects of this book to a new level, because one is never quite sure if what they are experiencing as they read is being seen through the eyes of someone who is unreliable. Myra is very sympathetic and the authors did a great job of creating an unease in her that carried the story. Very believable side characters a [...]

    3. I never wanted to sleep again after I have read this engagingly haunting book by Riley J. Ford and Rebecca Hamilton. Circus of Lost Souls is probably one of the most frightening but surprisingly great thrillers I have ever read. Seriously, I was wide awake reading the book and I, for the life of me, cannot fathom why I was able to stay up all night reading one gore scene to another and not get a nightmare out of it. Cirque Du Lune workers, especially Ian, really crept me out. Myra, thanks to her [...]

    4. Wow what can I say? These two wonderfully talented ladies have pulled off quite a freaky book. Myra is a lovable character, who although sees herself as weak is anything but.The others characters were so well described that there was a feeling of closeness with them. The ambience which was something that was an evident theme throughout was impeccable. I enjoyed every minute that I read it. I unfortunately could read it between two days. I would have gladly dedicated an afternoon to this. I canno [...]

    5. Disturbing. Very dark, disturbing, trippy, interesting soul swapping concept. I had a tough time with some of the dialogue between the kids, as is typical for me with YA books, but over all, found this to be a good scary romp and look forward to more of the story!

    6. Suspenseful thrillerEnjoyed the book. Characters are interesting and the book gives new meaning to creepy spine chilling thrills. Can't wait to read the next book

    7. I LOVED this book!! Anything to do with famous serial killers gets my attention. Plus it's set in a circus theme, another plus for me. Wonderful writing, and can't wait for book two. :)

    8. I have always been a fan of Becca Hamilton's. However, this is is the first time I have read something belonging to Riley J. Ford's. I have to say that I'm very pleased to have been given a copy of this book for review. I'm sad I didn't start it sooner! Once I did, though, I couldn't stop! I just had to know more. I had to know what was going to happen next, who was next, how was Myra going to come out of everything! This is a darker read that had me jumping at shadows and re-instills my fear of [...]

    9. Great horror story!I loved this book. Most horror stories are all the same, people get killed by monster. This book is a true gem in the fact that you can really believe the characters are real, that the plot really could happen. This is one of the best horror stories I have read in a long time. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes horror with a different story line than all the rest.

    10. I thought this was a pretty good book it got a little long and rambling in a couple places but for the most part kept my interest and wanting to turn the page to see what happens next. I would recommend this book!

    11. An excellent book with a disappointing ending. You're left hanging, but fear not, he has decided to write another book hopefully completing the story line. You have a typical mixture of young adults who are striving to have an awesome resume which hopefully get them into a premier college so they can expand their artistic abilities. Cirque de Lune is a highly selective three week camp where only ten people are selected to attend. After intensive training, they perform their act. Strangely ever s [...]

    12. Well the only thing I really enjoyed in this book was the atmosphere it created at certain scenes. The premise was really good; a young girl with a trauma from her childhood going for a performing arts summer camp circus. The character development was not good and after a long exposition part on who, why and how everything happened I was left disappointed. (view spoiler)[ I mean a transfer soul device? REALLY???(hide spoiler)] I won't say this is a horror read, unless you consider movies like fi [...]

    13. Perfectly creepy. Had me hooked all the way through the book!Reading this was like watching a movie - one of those movies that you KNOW will give you nightmares but you cannot pull away from the screen.

    14. EngagingI give the book 4 stars because it's entertaining and creative. Very unique spin to the story. I definitely recommend it.

    15. A new kind of circusWho said you couldn't come up with a new way of killing off people, not these guys! Teenagers be very careful what you wish for!
