    1. This book is great for so many different things. It covers animals, rhymes, and the alphabet. It would be great for any units related to these topics or for first day of Kindergarten. Reading this book made me thing of Anamalia which was an animal alphabet book I read as a child. I think this is a great way to present the alphabet to children and help them to develop phonetic awareness. Since they know the names of the animals, they can associate the letters to the sounds in the animal names.

    2. I really like the Miss Bindergarten books. The illustrations are fun and add so much to the simple story.

    3. personal reaction- I really enjoyed this book because it reminded me of my kindergarten and first grade 100th day of school celebration. This book kept my attention the whole time with the help of the bright and vibrant colors used in the illustrations. I think this book would be a great book to read to younger grade levels, preschool and kindergarten, when starting to get close to the 100th day of school. This is a fun book to get students excited. purpose/ use in the classroom. This book is mo [...]

    4. personal responseI really enjoyed this book because I remember celebrating the 100th day of school and thinking that it was a very big deal. The book also shows how hard teachers work to plan special things for their students and to celebrate their achievements. I want to be like that when I am a teacher. This book incorporates many different elements that would help children learn things such as counting and the alphabet. I really enjoyed the bright and almost chaotic illustrations throughout t [...]

    5. This is the second Miss Bindergarten book my son picks out at the library, and while these books do have some merit I just found it really painful to read through them. There's the rhyming, that's not terribly fluid already, but then it's interrupted by page spreads that just read "Miss Bindergarten gets ready for the 100th day of kindergarten". And again and again, every couple of pages. Really? I forgot! Here's an example of the rhyming: "100 days of friends, 100 days of fun, 100 days of darli [...]

    6. I remember reading this book as a little girl! I even have my own copy of it still with my Kindergarten version of my name in it. This book is all about an exciting event that occurs in a Kindergarten classroom with all sorts of different items that all the students bring in to class. It's text and illustrations are very engaging for young children to look through, which is just who this book's audience is meant to be. The book even has an interesting "extra" at the very end of the book, so chec [...]

    7. The students in the story are assigned to bring in 100 of one item the next day to school. All the students prep the following night by counting out 100 of one item. For example, some bring cereal, flowers, and even a 100 year old relative! The story is humorous and is an easy read for first graders. This story could also be used as a language arts lesson because each page incorporates rhyming words. The class then celebrates the 100th Day of School by making a book of the items each student bro [...]

    8. Personal reaction:I think that this is a very good book for kindergartners and leaves lots of room for activities. I love all of these series of books and I feel like lots of kindergartners would love this book because they can relate! Its a very good and easy read for the children.Purpose:This definitely goes with the kindergarten age group. It would be an awesome read aloud so the kids can visually see the number 100 and its value. I would use the book for a math lesson and I would also do thi [...]

    9. After reading this book to my students, we will have a 100th Day Party! We will spend the day doing everything in sets of 100: •Exercise 100 times (10 jumping jacks, 10 toe touches, 10 shoulder touches, 10 claps, 10 hops, etc.).•Observe 100 seconds of silence. •Time how long it takes to walk 100 steps.I will have my students make "100th Day Snack Bags" I will distribute one brown paper bag per student and have a decorating session using the number 100. In 10 separate bowls, I will place eno [...]

    10. While this book is about the 100th Day of Kindergarten, I love how it shows just how much teachers do for their students. While the little ones each have one project to complete for this important day, Miss Bindergarten has several. Without complaint and with infinite patience, she makes the day very special for her little ones.I just wish people realized how hard teachers work. When I was a teacher, my school day did not end at the bell. I believe that most teachers realize this is not a job - i [...]

    11. Immediately, upon reading the title, I appreciate that this book has the number 100 in the title. I would use this book to teach numbers. I'd show the children the versatility in numbers by helping them to see that numbers can apply to anything, and in this case, where we'd focus on the number 100, that although the items may be different, the same number/amount can be applied to all of them until they (the children) change or choose a new number. Understanding that a number represents the total [...]

    12. I know there a ton of Miss Bindergarten books but this particular one, I would use specifically for the 100th day of school. We could count in large group to 100. For the entire week, we could do "count to 100 activities." For a gross motor activity, we could try to do 100 jumping jacks throughout the day. For a snack activity, we could make a fruit loop necklace with 100 fruit loops and then we would eat it. I've seen a school have the children dress up like 100 year olds and have a 100 day par [...]

    13. This is a great book to partner with activities that you plan for the 100th day of school. It is also a book that I would begin reading at various intervals before the first day of school to keep the children interested in the celebration and excited to keep counting to 100. I would also use this book before the 100th day to brainstorm with small groups (or in morning meeting) some fun things we could do in our class to celebrate the 100th day using the activities from the book as a starting poi [...]

    14. Today is the 100th day at our base school in Louisville and I loved all the 100th day books they had out for the kids to read in my kindergarten classroom. I like this one because if you read the entire series to your kiddos throughout the year, they will learn the alphabet without even knowing they are doing so and you can see the progress big time on the 100th day! This is a series kids can relate to as well. It's super cute!!

    15. I absolutely loved the illustration in this book. It immediately drew me in, because of its detail and overall business in every picture. I liked how Miss Bindergarten made her classroom look for the 100th day of kindergarten. And this book could be used as inspiration to enhance my classroom as a future teacher. Of course mine won't look as busy, but I would like to make sure that my classroom is a clear representation of the students that I have in my classroom.

    16. This book is about a class who celebrates their 100th day of school. Each student is asked to bring in 100 items of one thing to school. This book can be used for counting and classifying. Students can count 100 items. It also helps students think of what items come in 100. I would use this book and also think about different numbers and asked students what comes in fours, eights, etc. I would also definitely use this book on the 100th day of school.

    17. This book can be used for the 100th day of kindergarten. In the story it discusses how all of the children and their teacher, Miss Bindergarten, are preparing for the 100th day of kindergarten celebration by making things that have 100 items in it. The pictures are very busy and exciting! There is a series of “Miss Bindergarten” books; I have read many aloud to children and they absolutely love them!

    18. This cute book would be great to introduce either the day before or on the 100th day of school. The teacher could assign the students the task of bringing in 100 of something, allowing each child to share what they brought, then display the classes items on a bulletin board. Among other 100 day celebration activities, this would be the perfect opportunity to reinforce or introduce the many way to count (e.g. by 2s, 5s, or 10s).

    19. an awesome book about a teacher who celebrates the 100th day of Kindergarten and tells her students to bring in a collection of 100 things!throughout the book, each student's name is highlighted which begins with each letter of the alphabet, and at the end of the book, there is a list iin alphabetical order of what each child brought that day! This can give students ideas about different things to bring on the 100th day of school!

    20. I love this book! It will help children stay excited about coming to school and will help them with there numbers, especially counting to 100 hundred. I believe if there is time before each calendar math you could read this book to children to help them to know what day of school it is and to help them anticipate the 100th day of school.

    21. This book was a very simple read. It would be a great read for the 100th day of school. The illustrations are a little weird. But the font is big and I love that. It makes books so much easier to read or be read-aloud books. The colors are very dull. Although there are many different colors they are not very bright.

    22. This short and colorful children's story offers an 'imagination BOOST' to keep the mind boggling with enthusiasm. This story combines MATH and READING, to make their 'thinking caps' explode with creativity! We read it every year on the 100th day of school. The children will bring in 100 of something and then we count them out by tens.

    23. The illustrations are wonderful. Very colorful and, I believe, an ideal vision of a kindergarten classroom. The way the story was put together is clever with the characters being animals and having each name start with a letter from the alphabet. I think this is a very motivating book for not only children but teachers as well.

    24. For pre-k students to 2nd grade students use this book to explore the alphabet with students. Students of Miss Bindergarten class are presented in alphabetical order as we learn that each child ponders over what to bring to school. Teachers can develop fun math lessons of different way to build 100 items

    25. This book is about students celebrating their 100th day of school. Many teachers celebrate this day and it can be modified in a number of ways. My teacher made them have a trail mix, and in their trail mix they had to get 10 of each thing. Students can learn all the different ways to make 100 as well as separate and classify objects.

    26. This is another great Miss Bindergarten book that children would definitely enjoy. Miss Bindergarten is getting ready to celebrate the 100th day with her students and everybody is doing different things to get ready for their big day. I would use this book to teach repetition because throughout the story the author says , " Miss Bindergarten gets ready for the 100th day of kindergarten".

    27. This is a great book for students as well as helpful book for Kindergarten teachers! This book can be used with the hundreds chart. From this text, students will learn all about the number 100. They will learn about all the different ways 100 appears in the world and practice counting to 100. With the help of this book, we can also start the concept of place value for the Kindergarteners.

    28. This is a great book for children to learn all about the number 100. You can use this book to find as many ways as possible to equal 100 through addition, substration, and multiplication. I love how each page begins with the next letter in the alphabet. also love the fun brightly colored pictures. I would recommend this book for k-1 grades.

    29. Kindergarten teachers, this is an adorable and helpful book! In this text, students will learn all about the number 100. They will see how big 100 is, learn about all the different ways 100 appears in the world, and practice counting to 100. This book can be used to lead into a lesson about 100, or this book could be an entire lesson itself. I definitely recommend taking a look!
