    1. In that unique voice of hers, Sarah Price has penned a heartrending but lovely story of romance, secrets, guilt, and shame – under the guise of a seemingly perfect Amish community; overflowing with colorful daffodils, robin red-breasts, and sparkling, fish-filled rivers.Kate is a lovely young Amish woman, whose life and the lives of her entire family were changed the night a terrible tragedy took place. Feeling responsible, Kate's life consists of helping her father run the family farm, attend [...]

    2. Thus book held my attention from the first page until the very last page. It shows the turmoil that any family would face when one person makes a poor decision that ends one life and effects so many other lives. What was very interesting to me is that the family in the story is Amish. A wonderful book by Ms. Price

    3. Sarah Price has shown once again with "An Amish Buggy Ride" why when a reader reads one of her books, they want to read all she has ever written. I was given a pdf version of "An Amish Buggy Ride"by Sarah Price for an honest review and this reader was not disappointed at all with the story except I didn't want it to end. I really didn't want to leave the characters in"story land". I wanted to know more. The title is just perfect for the story, as the story starts with an Amish buggy ride.Kate Zoo [...]

    4. This book got to me. Pure and simple it got to me. Just for that very reason, the purity and the simplicity. I have always been curious of the Amish way of life, probably because I long for the simplicity and the community it inspires. Kate Zook our protagonist bears a heavy weight on her shoulders. The accident that took her brother’s girl’s friend’s life and changed his life forever blames his sister and makes her life miserable. As Kate struggles with this, a young man Samuel has taken [...]

    5. What a great read, so many holding on to guilt, and others making them feel guilty, we are led down the road, to redeeming? Or will, the guilt over rule everything in their lives? This is one page-turning read, from the first page to the very end, and loved the epilogue! Dealing with act of forgiveness can be hard, and even harder if you cannot forgive yourself. Sarah Price has done an awesome job of leading us on this journey and with the question of whether or not we accept God’s graceWe have [...]

    6. Been quite awhile since I've read an Amish Book. This was a very interesting and an emotional one as well. A Young man and his girl friend were in a buggy and were riding it. Bad news is that they were drinking whiskey and it lead up to a wreck and two people lost their lives. As the book unfolds we learn more about this, and find the weak spots that many of the characters have. It was very well written, and found that the characters asked for forgiveness in that they knew about kids and the alc [...]

    7. "An Amish Buggy Ride" By Sarah PriceI have enjoyed all of the books written by this author, so fully expected to love this one as well. What I did NOT expect, was to think that it was the BEST yet!! I knew that Sarah is a talented gal who writes from the heart, but this book is one that has a message that stayed with me long after I had finished reading it! The main character, Kate Zook, is a quiet Amish young woman who is always responsible and prides herself on fulfilling her role in being a " [...]

    9. Once again Sarah Price caused me to forget about my life and lose myself in the lives of Kate Zook and Samuel Esh as I was transported to a farm in Pennsylvania. She is a master at creating characters who are so real they become a part of me.For me, relating to Kate is not difficult. She has committed what she considers un-forgivable sins and is tormented by un-forgiveness and an unrealistic self-view.Her brother, David, feeds her feelings of worthlessness by constantly blaming her for and remin [...]

    10. If there is one thing we can count on from Sarah Price it's that she always delivers a wonderful story. A story filled with memorable characters who are genuine, kind, and worth your time getting to know. An Amish Buggy Ride is no different. We are introduced to Kate Zook, a young Amish woman, who is at the center of her brother David's rage and anger. An anger that is building up and threatening to tear the family apart. The way Kate handles David is quite remarkable. Never lashing back at David' [...]

    11. E-Reader. Amish MysteryKate Zook is the eldest daughter who takes responsibilities very seriously.  She lives in an Amish Community on the family farm.During the first winter snow a fatal accident happens, which changes their family.  Her brother David is paralyzed and in a wheelchair.  He refuses therapy and becomes very bitter.Because of his condition Kate takes over his farm duties helping her Dad.She meets Samuel Esh and meets him at the weekly singing for the unwed.  He likes Kate very [...]

    12. I read this book on the Kindle and it was slow going at first. Kate's brother,David had a few too many drinks and she refused to ride home in the buggy with him and his girlfriend, Ruth. There's a terrible accident and the book is about what happens after the accident. Kate feels responsible and tries to help her family and David in any way that she can. Samuel was one of my favorite characters because he is so easy going and dependable. At the end Kate accepts that she did the best she could an [...]

    13. I really enjoyed almost very minute of this book. The Amish/Mennonite world is so different from most of our every day experience. Outside of the world, but the youth have the opportunity to try it out. Some leave their roots, but many come back. It is an ideal life if the bishop and community is as rational and forgiving as this one is, I came away with feeling of great grace and peace, which is a really good experience.

    14. This was a nice book I really enjoyed this book I always had a interest in the Amish way of living. It sounds like hard work but good family work ethnic I would love that woman would get together and make quilts I tried it once but thought how nice it would be if there was a group

    17. Buggy rideVery good story. I loved the outcome of this story. Its wonderful for Samuel to realize the feelings that she had because of her brothers accident. She blamed herself, when others felt the same way. It's good to have these feelings come to the surfacest take a load off.
