    1. Well, I don't say this very often, but i have to say that this sequel dEaDINBURGH: Alliances surpasses the original. (dEaDINBURGH: Vantage.Alliences jumps straight into the action, continuing where vantage left off. Joey and Alys are now armed with the truth after tracking Bracha down to the hospital where Somna and his Army protect and then being contacted by Joeys obnoxious biological father from the outside world. Alys's neice (horribly mutilated by Bracha in Vantage) has ran away and is cons [...]

    2. I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the author and offered a copy of the second Deadinburgh novel with absolutely no obligation to review the book. I couldn't pass up the chance as I really enjoyed the first book after stumbling upon it on an browse-a-thon. The first book was one of the few books I've written a review for due to the concept and execution of the content.I don't want to chance giving anything away, so I'm not going to divulge any aspects of the plot. It continues from the f [...]

    3. I was thrilled to be asked to be a beta-reader for this book. Partially because I was excited to participate in the book process, but mainly because it meant I didn't have to wait any longer for the next part of the story.Alliances continues with all the aspects of Vantages which I loved so much: well-developed and unique cultures, clear and resonant descriptions which suck you right into the action, touches of humor, genuinely strong and credible characters, and themes which reach beyond the ba [...]

    4. I was contacted by the author to read his book with no obligation to leave a comment.I read the first book in this series and was so excited when I got the second one. I needed to know what was happening with Joey and Alys. This book was well written and really tied up a lot of loose ends. This was an entertaining read that I could not put down, it has a lot of action in it and of course some Ringed killings (as any Zombie book should have). I am hoping there will be more to come in this series [...]

    5. Cant get enough! This series, is just, AWESOME! I love the mix of types of zombies, different groups of living, and psychos! The added twist, that we learned about at the end of book 1, the t.v. show, is cool as hell! I love the characters! Great writing! On to the next!

    6. I loved - no - I was obsessed with the first book Vantage! Nothing beats a good zombie story, throw in some epic plot twists, and I am sold!I can not really talk about what Alliances is about without majorly spoiling book one. So let me just giving you the basic run down what Deadinburgh is about!Deadinburgh takes place in the zombie overrun Edinburgh. The city is closed off to the rest of the world. And the zombie infestation is contained within the city walls. It might not sound like much, but [...]

    7. Thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book. I've been just itching to read it since the first book ended!!This is an incredible sequel but I didn't love it quite as much as dEaDINBURGH: Vantage. The twist and reveal in that one was one of the best and it's got to be hard to out-do something that good. This book only gets a lowly 4.5 stars because I can't rate it as high as the first. I was hoping at the end of the first that this sequel would be the story of how Joey and Alys [...]

    8. I loved the first book in this series. Usually second books disappoint me but this one was great! About a third of the way in I did something I never do. I stopped and went back to read the first one again. I couldn't remember everything and I didn't want to miss any details. I was glad I did. This series has it all. Post zombie apocalypse, ingenious culture references and just messed up reality entertainment. Unfortunately now I'm obsessed with traveling to Scotland. I must see all the places d [...]

    9. Ohh my this book has GSS Great Sequel Syndrome.I got an early copy of the book from the writer. In book one Alys and Joey find out that their lives are based on a lie.Stephanie was broken after she lost her eye but no more!!! She will never be a victim any more. Psycho Somna will have his part in this book and it’s not pretty. Bracha what to do with him???I like the world building, the plot twists, the friendship between Alys and Joey.I love all the fighting there’s nothing better in my eyes [...]

    10. Wow! A stunning sequel that left me breathless. I didn't realise how much I was invested in the characters of Joey and Alys. But I was. I am. And I devoured this novel like a Ringed devours human flesh. I have only been to Edinburgh twice but I could visualise the battle scene so vividly. And what an epic battle! One to rival George RR Martin's. I couldn't flick my Kindle fast enough. I was even routing for Bracha and that is due to Wilson's brilliant characterisation. These novels are begging t [...]

    11. Great read!! I loved the story and the different characters and the roles they played. I am not a huge fan of jumping timelines. But other than that I thought it was a great read. Great job to the author for the twist and turns. Will there be another book? I certainly hope so!!!

    12. A very strong return to the quarantined city in Mark Wilson's inspired dEaDINBURGH series. After the shock twists in the first book, Wilson takes his familiar characters and throws a major concern for them to deal with, to come together, and to try to beat. I'll avoid more plot based comments, because it's the second book, and I wouldn't want to give anything at all away. The major victory for the author in this book, for me, is that Wilson manages to avoid a potential banana skin, and takes the [...]

    13. I must start out by saying that I don't normally go out of my way to read zombie themed books. Nothing against them, it's just not my preferred genre to read. That being said, I gave the first book in this series a shot because I have read other works by Mark Wilson and really loved them. He's a great writer who produces some very quality stuff. If you haven't read any of his other books, by all means, do so at once. dEaDINBURGH Vantage took me by surprise and I found myself completely enthralle [...]

    14. dEaDINBURGH:Alliance (Din Eidyn Corpus Book 2)This RECOMMENDATION is not written lightly. Truthfully this is one of the best if not THE BEST ZOMBIE apocalypse books I have read, and they , the zombies, didn't play a Hugh part in the telling. ALLIANCE is book 2 of a trilogy so I also recommend you read the number 1 , first. The young pair of fighters , JOEY and ALYS, have returned and they have a plan to avenge their families and friends and they now have the NAME of the person they believe to be [...]

    15. Opening disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the author.Mark Wilson has delivered a superb follow-up to the first book in the series. The story picks up around the same time that the first book ended and doesn't miss a beat. We're served with some additional background information that helps fill in any gaps, and the big twist reveal from the first novel is expanded upon very effectively. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this novel, as I did the first, and highly recommend it.

    16. It had been a while since I read the first in the series but I vividly recalled the main characters in no time at all. This sequel is just as good as the first novel and, as the title says, sees alliances being formed between most of the small groups scattered around Edinburgh. Great fun.Ray Smillie

    17. Alliances is on par with the first dEaDINBURGH book (Vantage). I think there was some un-tapped potential, but overall I would recommend it to fans of Young Adult horror. Like the first book--it is fairly unique in the genre.
