As the title says, it gives an insight into the 'quick and dirty publishing from the 40s & 50s'. This includes information on Sydney publisher Frank Johnson, the man responsible for so much of this genre. It's a terrific little history, lavishly illustrated with the marvellously melodramatic cover art and comic illustrations from the time. Completely fascinating.
