    1. Really good second book in Flora Lively's series Really enjoyed it. It was quick read, I've got involved much more than the first story. Most interesting for me was to see the development of main character's relationships. The mystery itself was better than the first one as well, it got me guessing for much longer. Hopefully I'll be able to read more about Flora's adventures in the future. Looking forward to this.

    2. So Much FunI love these characters! It is a fun read and I hope there are more books in the series. I love it when I can care about the characters in the book and want to see what happens to them.

    3. 3.5 starsThis British cozy mystery had me hooked from the first page, it was an enjoyable read, clean, without violence. I also love the small British town where the story takes place and its bizarre inhabitants. The plot is well developed, it was fun to solve clue after clue the two murders in this novel. The characters are likeable and well defined. The protagonist is Flora, a young amateur detective, funny, determined and hardeaded. Her best friend is back to Hanley Manor with great news: with [...]

    4. Flora Lively wants to think the best of her old friends, and well, everyone she meets, but sometimes that's hard - like when two people are murdered. Her new friend, Marshall, an American, who helps her run her father's business warns her not to get involved and is a bit jealous of Jack. Then Marshall is framed and Flora is determined to prove to Jack that Marshall is innocent. The plot and characters are interesting, with many possible suspects. Phillips provides enough twists and tension to ke [...]

    5. Fun in the country?Flora gets caught up in another murder mystery , on a film set. She is reunited with a college friend who is now an actress. Murder and confusion surround the set and it takes on a life of its own.

    6. Flora just seems to attract trouble where ever she goes. An idilic five day stay in the countryside turned into a murderous, action packed thriller of a ride. I like Flora's many sides. On the one hand she is determined, stubborn and a logical thinker but she also lets slip her vulnerable side every now and again. I think there is more of her vulnerable side for us to learn about in her next adventure. Again I liked the reference to local places and beauty spots that are not far from where I liv [...]

    7. . Good storyThis was a good story but I found it hard to find a connection with the characters. I don't feel that I really knew or understood them or their story. I also don't have a very good picture of the setting. Those two things are the most important parts of a story for me.

    8. I was captivated with this entire book unlike the first one where it took me longer to really get into it. I really enjoyed the growing relationship between Flora & Marshall. Absolutely enjoyed this book & hope there is another one soon!
