    1. Amazing Animal Journeys, written by Chris Packham, is a beautifully illustrated book outlining the migratory patterns of various animals. As the author guides readers all around the world, the incredible journeys of those "masters of migration" are described through beautiful illustrations and descriptions of their patterns. This nonfiction picture book does an excellent job at presenting information in a relatable, comprehensible way, while introducing children to a variety of animals, their en [...]

    3. Beautifully illustrated and an interesting layout for a non-fiction children's book. The children in my class thoroughly enjoyed reading and would regularly recite facts in the playground in efforts to impress others!

    4. Wonderful book that is as informative as beautiful.Brief overview about the migration journeys of a multitude of amazing creatures!

    5. Good explanation of the concept of migration, as well as detailed examples - from the jellyfish that migrate from one end of their lake to the other, to blue whales that migrate all over the ocean, the book covers many different kinds of animals as well as their reasons for migrating. Also includes lots of interesting facts in the back of the book, covering the animals mentioned as well as ones that were pictured but not described.Only nitpick: the text of the story and the text of the factual no [...]

    6. I remember when being a kid how much I love reading books about animals. “Brehm's Life of Animals” was the favorite pick, a thick big book full of data was an endless wealth of information to lose myself inside. These days there are much more books, much thinner yet equally interesting for young readers to learn new things while having a great time.“Amazing Animal Journeys” written by Chris Packham and nicely illustrated by Jason Cockcroft discusses one particular aspect of wildlife – a [...]

    7. As one might expect, this was a cut above the quotidian for children's non-fiction picture books. Jason Cockcroft's illustrations were an important element with a cleverly changing human family. I still reckon it is a bit 'Don't try this at home' whale watching in a tiny boat but I note the children are all wearing life jackets.A lovely range of migrations was chosen - the big ones, and the jellyfish who simply move a few kilometres in a lake to get the sun. The issue of climate change was dealt [...]

    8. This eye catching picture book tells the story of why and where certain animals migrate to. Includes a map of the different routes the creatures take. Even more fun facts are included at the end of the book.

    9. I really enjoyed this book. It is short enough that I can use it in my elementary science classes without them loosing focus but it is packed with great information and a starting point for a lot of discussions about various migratory animals. I enjoyed the illustrations as well. I liked the input about climate change it was informative but not too doom and gloom for the younger kids; just the right amount to open up a dialogue about our environment and taking care of it.
