    1. I read the first to books in this series sometime ago and then kind of forgot about it. At that time, I knew there would be a third book, but there was no announcement of when, so I moved on. Then I found this third and not necessarily final book in the series. It is a very enjoyable read in that Jake Taylor accomplishes what he set out to do so long ago on Gehenna, the portal world where he was sent to die.As you read in the first two books, Jake is now not a normal human in the sense that he h [...]

    2. OMG! Not a cliffhanger!!So ends this trilogy. But is everything wrapped up in a neat package with a nice little bow on top? NO! It's not. No details, no spoilers from me though. This is the kind of book that was hard to put down. New and unexpected allies are gained but we also lose old friends in the battle to regain control of the Earth. I hope the next book in the series is coming soon!

    3. A fitting end to the Trilogy. Though the end (i know you are cueing up the next Triology) could have been better. The way its been setup in the epilogue leaves a lot to be desired. But everything before that is on par with what we expect from Taylor, his doubts and pain on what he is doing is just on mark.

    4. Alwyn BBrilliant just Brilliant. When good men do nothing evil prevails!. A great write a great read.Powerful characters make this book hard to put down.

    5. More of the sameThe main character is getting weirder. His introspection is supposed to show his depth of feeling and commitment to saving humanity at all cost. He hasn't been particularly concerned with rescuing The support personnel, including the women who are sex slaves for The armies. He's a real caring human being. The armies are ridiculous in composition, size and have a mission that makes no sense. There are not enough troops to make sense and no provision is made for everything from suppl [...]

    6. My Book Review Number 118:This review is on Homefront, Portal Wars: Book III, by author Jay Allan. This is the third story in the series. General Jake Taylor and his troops leave the last battlefield on an alien planet to return home to Earth using an undiscovered Portal in Siberia. Many have died in the struggle to fight the UN Government that has lied to its people and forced thousands of men and women to die on alien planets fighting the Tegeri Machines and now UNGov forces sent to stop Taylo [...]

    7. A very good readI really enjoyed this series. From the beginning he created good characters and developed them. The continuity thru the series made you want Taylor to live and win. They also left it open for the next story. I do wish they would proof read better. There are too many mistakes both in spelling and use of the wrong word.

    8. It took me a long time to finish this series. Jay Allan has had many different projects going and most of them are worthy reads. This one suffered a bit from a lack of editing. The overall story is good with an excellent balance of drama and action. It also brings the trilogy to a sound completion.

    9. Wonderful! The best author in his field ever! Never disappointed. The true greatness of any author is the deep understand of human condition and the ability to express it. It set Steven King as a man apart. It does not fail here either. And it takes one who has lived it and suffered to understand it. There is a greatness there too. Christine A Fay

    10. Another great from Jay AllanIt seems like I had to wait s long time to complete this series , but it was worth it. I'm looking forward to the next "portals" series. Better editing would have earned a 5.

    11. GreatI really enjoyed reading this book. It finished the first trilogy beautifully. Full if action and suspense . I can not wait till the next book comes out!

    12. Narrated very badly by Liam Owan. Story may have been OK but narrator sounded like he was transcribing instructions on how to assemble a book shelf. 10 minutes is all I could take.

    13. Can't wait for more If you have read any of Jay Allen's work you will know what to expect if you haven't what are you waiting for this is an excellent series
