    1. When Zeke discovers a hostile alien fleet is headed to Earth, he is determined to stop them. His role as Guardian of Earth and descendant of a faraway race is a secret. He trusts no one for help, including his robot valet, Forman. It’s a good thing, since Forman’s creator has tampered with his programming. She’s put a locator inside him, and this becomes useful as Zeke and Forman are compromised by the Maleem invaders. Zeke has a narrow escape aided by his girlfriend, Jessie. Could they us [...]

    2. I am a fan of sci-fi, futuristic military, and dystopian thrillers. This is why I was looking forward to reading this book. Yet, I struggled hard to get excited about this book. So much so that I could only read a page or two at a time. I put the book down with my intent of brushing my hands of it. However, I picked it up one last time as I had some more time and less distractions. Not thinking it would change anything about how I felt with this book. I was wrong. Although it did take me until a [...]

    3. I read Rigel Carson's first book in the Guardian of the Earth series, G-1, and loved it, so I was thrilled to get an advanced copy of G-2. I'm not usually a reader of sci-fi/futuristic novels, but Ms. Carson fills this series with original characters and enough suspense to keep me turning the pages. The Maleem, G-2's alien invaders, claim to come in peace, but their real objective is to take over Planet Earth. The challenge for our genius hero, Zeke Landry, if he can avoid the alien enslavement, [...]

    4. A satisfying followup to G-1.Normally the word "dystopian" in a book description sends me running the other way, but since I'd read several other books by Maggie Toussaint, I gave her G-1 a try and enjoyed it enough to read the second book. Once again, Zeke is called upon to save the world, this time from "big green men" who have managed to pull the wool over everyone else's eyes as to their real reason for coming to Earth. The author's narrative style and descriptions put you right in the action [...]

    5. This dystopian fiction novel jumps right back into the story. I liked how chapter one had some information about Zeke that reminds readers of who he is and a little about his history. The chapter does not go in-depth it just gives a quick refresher which is a nice change. MY favorite character in the book was Zeke I really liked his personality. I felt like he was a real person and not just a character.I also liked the robot Forman, I found it interesting that he had emotions and could experienc [...]

    6. I'm truly torn after reading G-2 by Rigel Carson. The writing is a clean and effortless as ever and I found myself drawn in just as I was with G-1. However, and I don't want to spoil exactly what frustrated me towards the end because it would be epic spoilers I am still hooked on the series and looking forward to the further adventures of Dr. Zeke Landry, his awesome friends and the worlds most awesome sexy robot, but if you are like me and get turned off with a bit of a Dr. Who (nope no time tr [...]

    7. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review.G-2 is the second book in the Guardian of Earth Series. Although I haven't read G-1, this book does stand on it own.The main character, Zeke, has had to save Earth before and once again he has to save it. This time it's from big green aliens who are pretending to be friends. The author's writing is easy to follow and is descriptive enough that I can picture what is going on, but it isn't so descriptive that I have to skip paragraphs.G-2 is [...]

    8. Great follow-up to G-1. The futuristic setting of this series is well described without bogging the reader down with too much detail. I like Zeke Landry's sort of nerdy personality as well as Queen Bea's and her sister's. Science fiction isn't a genre I normally read, but this series is written well, has enjoyable characters and just the right amount of romance.
