    1. (Originally reviewed for Love Bytes Same Sex Book Reviews with a copy provided by the author / publisher for an honest review.)I really liked this story of a plumber and a posh boy set in London. As an American who once lived in the UK for a couple years, I enjoy reading about gay life issues in the modern UK. I think this author did a great job bringing us the story of Rick Taylor and Matt Connell, and I was very easily able to relate to their story.Move this story back 30 years and Matt and Ri [...]

    2. I liked that this book is set in London, I'm English and we don't get a lot of books in this genre set in my home country. This one started out well, Rick and Matt were cute together and I liked them both. Rick's friends were likeable too. Well except for Zach. Other reviewers have said he eventually grew on them but I never warmed to him. In the beginning it was cute and humorous but after about 20% it started going downhill and never really recovered. Storylines were dropped, the humour disapp [...]

    3. A Joyfully Jay review. 4 starsThis is one of those love at first sight stories that will leave you swooning! When Rick and Matt meet, you can feel the attraction jumping off the pages. Despite this being a fast-paced romance, readers will quickly find themselves falling in love with these two men falling in love…even though you know that maybe they aren’t really made for each other. So when the two of them jump head first into marriage, readers need to fasten their seatbelts because it’s g [...]

    4. Rick is a true romantic at heart just looking for is happily ever after with the right man. Matt is out but not all the way out still dealing with past pain and working through being okay with himself the way he is. Matt is also a plumber and that is how he meets Rick when he comes to fix Ricks boiler. There is a instant attraction between these two men. Now this book is about a super fast relationship that quickly turns into a marriage well maybe too quickly. You will see the every day life of [...]

    5. Loose ConnectionI honestly didn’t enjoy reading this story. It’s well told, it's not about that, and honestly? Lots of times it does feel real, like I can totally believe people would behave like that, no problem. But talk about passive-aggressive behaviour. Everyone involved seemed like the biggest douchebag ever and then they’d make a point of proving me right. And then some. Most of them I still think they are insufferable bastards even after I’m done reading. I didn’t get but a few l [...]

    6. Horribly written. Unrealistic dialogue. No connection to either main character. Rick is Whiney, stereotypical, and says really stupid things. Matt is two dimensional. The writing is all telling no showing. Boring. I could go on but I'll stop there. Had to stop when rick asked Matt if he'd kiss him in public and Matt said no. uh did they forget their first date where they practically mauled each other on the street and were broken up by women hooting at them. I'm done.

    7. Good story Good story, looking forward to reading book two, sex sevens a bit too consuming for my reading taste, too long, but good story line.

    8. -Originally reviewed for Prism Book Alliance.-This one was sort of a tough call for me. There were parts I enjoyed – like how very British everything was – and parts I almost hated, including a chunk of about twenty thousand words wherein the MCs had the same argument over…and over…and over again without growth or resolution.Let’s start with the characters though. Rick is a perfectly normal gay guy who grew up moderately privileged in a nice part of London. He loves bright clothes and [...]
