      Sarah Holland Batt is the author of The Hazards UQP, 2015 , which won the poetry prize at the 2016 Prime Minister s Literary Awards, and Aria UQP, 2008 , which won the Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize, the Arts ACT Judith Wright Award, and the FAW Anne Elder Award and was shortlisted in both the New South Wales and Queensland Premiers Literary Awards She is presently a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the Queensland University of Technology and the poetry editor of Island.

    1. This collection of poetry is difficult to review. I enjoyed some of the poems, but the most difficult part of this whole collection is that it is simply catalogued in alphabetical order based on the poets surname. This gives a lack of cohesion or momentum when reading. I felt I had to scan through to find something that sounded interesting based on the title, then see if I liked it. I felt that there was no way to build a rapport with any of the poems as it was all simply snippets, without any b [...]


    2. woah I gotta stop reading stuff I already finished my challenge what am I thinking? No more words until 2017. *communicates entirely through the medium of white noise*as for this book (this part of the review is in white noise I promise) it says it's THE BEST right on the front so I guess I can't really argue with that. some were really good, some did nothing for me. my favourite part was when I went to add it on and I was the first person to mark it as read. Pure Poetry.
