    About "A.J. Adams"

    1. A.J. Adams

    1. The Beast and the Sibyl is the second volume in an interesting series that offers a world combining some real historical elements (Vikings, medieval Europe, the fascinating Norse attempt to colonize North America in the 10th century) with magic, myth, and fantasy. It is different as night and day from the first volume, Beast, while at the same time being an organic continuation of the intricate plot begun in that book. In my opinion, full enjoyment of this book necessitates reading the volumes i [...]

    2. This series isn’t for me. This is a continuation of book 1 but can be read as a standalone. The setup of the book like book one will not be for everyone. This is all fiction and there is a lot of crossovers from various different times but here it was just too much for me. By contradicting myself here now it is well written and the author keeps a good pace of the characters and their development. But I didn’t like the characters. I am in the minority here so take my review with a pinch of sa [...]

    3. The Beast and the Sibyl by AJ AdamsA Prydain Story #3Make believe fairytales for adults set in a world that does not exist but links well enough to places read of in history books makes this story a splendid read. Prydain is a place that has laws and lords that do and don’t get along; it has a belief system filled with myth and more; it has people that speak the same language; it is a place comprised of more than one kingdom; it is a splendid place to go and spend time with women, warriors; hu [...]

    4. Humour and heart make for a stellar read!I’ve visited Prydain before and I couldn’t wait to get back! I read Fletcher out of order but both stories are very much stand-alone stories. Other than the great writing – the humour, the bravery, the thoughtfulness – that has created a new, irresistible world!“I had found the perfect woman and brought her home. Now all I had to do was make sure we’d live to enjoy our future.”Romeo and Juliet it may not be but Siv and Bliss are definitely c [...]

    5. The Beast and The Sibyl (Prydain 2) by A.J. Adams### 4.75 Hashtags ###A beautifully written medieval fantasy novel. I must say initially I thought this book was going to be complicated and a little hard to understand what with all the different names etc but I was very wrong it all fell into place nicely, flowed perfectly and kept my attention throughout. Transporting me fully into their very different world.Bliss is a good strong character who constantly battles with protecting herself and doin [...]

    6. Another amazingly unique, medieval paranormal fantasy must read, in AJ Adams' Prydain fantasy world! This author has a magical way with words, unique stories, great descriptions and strong characters with witty dialogue that will keep the reader engaged & turning pages! I can't say enough good about these books except I highly recommend them to all adult fans of fiction! Any book by Ms. Adams is a one-click for me :)

    7. Third installment and it seems like each book gets better and better. Just like previous AJ Adams book this book has a strong female lead character. I have read this book numerous times it is just that good. I am a HUGE fan of Adams work and this book reminds me why. I found myself immersed in the story, lost in this imaginary world and unable to put the book down. This is a must for any library.

    8. This was another beastly beauty by AJ and i loved it! Set in a prydian world, the beast of this story is called Siv and he is rescued by Bliss. A strong girl,in spite of all that's thrown at her because of her heritage and her abilities. A girl that needs to tread carefully to keep her independence.but so alluring to SivI loved them both, right from the start and enjoyed their story so much!

    9. Another amazing book!I love all the AJ Adams books! It was exciting, unpredictable, and sweet all at the same time. More please

    10. Who are Bliss, Siv, Courtney, and the Patriarch? What happens to the Duke and who helps save him? What happens after that? What gods and godesses do these people follow? How does everyone know one another? Who are Saga, Bygul, and Trigul? Who's family are they a part of? What does Bliss tell Courtney about the Patriarch? What does the Patriarch try to do and what does he actually do? Why? What do Saga, Bygul, and Trigul think of the Duke, Courtney, and Siv? What does Siv tell Bliss about herself [...]

    11. This book was awesome! I love the Prydain books they're always so much fun. Bliss is a great heroine and Siv he's a bit of an ass but a loveable ass he grows on you. I loved the whole story and that we got to see Rune and Wynne again (from Beast). I loved the growing relationship between Bliss and Siv and you can tell that they both grow into better people because they met. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to read future books set in Prydain.

    12. A.J. Adams is a new author to me but I have friends on that read the first book in this series and gave it high ratings so when I had the opportunity to read a copy of The Beast and the Sibyl I took it and I am glad I did. Not only did it turn me on to a new author but it gave me a new series to follow. This book can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but after reading The Beast and the Sibyl I find myself wanting to go back and read the first book in the series Beast. You can see my [...]

    13. One of things that make me an A.J.Adams big fan, is that each book within a same universe will be a new experience. The Beast and the Sibyl is without a doubt the sweetest story so far in all the Prydain books ( I've read it third, after Fletcher, even though it's the second book in the series. All books are standalone stories) Bliss' abilities, healing knowledge and wisdom to brought a sense of healing to Siv. And I loved the way it changed the dynamics in the Beast's village.

    14. A world where reality meets "make believe" that's the best description I have of both this read and Prydain. There are laws and cultures that get along and done that clash much like in life as we know it.So we've got cultures /species that co exist but when 1 man is thrown off course he finds friendship and comrade is the strangest of places , an unlikely character. Bliss isn't a pure Prydain and therefor she hasn't fully integrated and is a bit of an outcast of you like I enjoyed this read but I [...]

    15. The Beast and The Sibyl is the 3rd book in the Prydain Series. “Prydain, an imaginary place that combines Anglo-Saxon England with Medieval England, the Teutonic Kingdom and the Viking Age”. This is Bliss and Siv Olafson “(aka Skull Crusher, son of Siv Bloodaxe, who was son of Olaf the Red, the scourge of Haven)”. Bliss rescues The Beast and continues to call him “Beast” throughout this story because neither trust each other. Yet, they must learn to trust. Another very good book that [...]

    16. Great continuation of the Prydian and Beast saga. Siv and Bliss were fantastic and richly created characters. Their strength, stubbornness and need for acceptance was sweet and endearing. Set in a magical and brutal land, these two fight a fearful town, ruthless men of power and each other. The back and forth between these two, as they try to find a home and love was fun to read. I love the intricate details and the combination of realness and fantasy in this make believe landscape of Skraeling [...]

    17. Before I read A J Adams' latest foray into fantasy romance, I had not known what a Sibyl was. Another name for witch, apparently, or at least, a woman with enhanced powers such as visions and an affinity with animals and nature. The Beast & The Sibyl is the second book in the Prydain series, but it must be stressed, can be read as a standalone novel. I had no problem in getting into the world that the author had created, of two rival communities in a fantasy land that seems both far away and [...]

    18. This book was amazing. I'm a sucker for alternate worlds and AJ Adams The Beast and The Sibyl did not disappoint ! I was instantly drawn into the story and struggled to put it down. AJ Adams does a great job of getting the reader in sync with the characters and the different perspectives. Character development was also on point and I was emotional with the characters! Be prepared to laugh, cry and be angry along with the characters . You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to read more from [...]

    19. Really intriguing fantasy storyInteresting charactersEven the animals are fascinating. I read this story straight through and thoroughly enjoyed it.

    20. Another great story by author AJ Adams! I am loving The Prydain series. This installment has a pinch of paranormal to it. If you are not a paranormal fan, don’t turn away, it’s not much and it really adds to the story line. Siv is the next in line of the hot Beasts. He is angry and feeling hapless and he finds himself in an impossible situation. Bliss grew up in Salvation, but has always felt like an outsider. It doesn’t help that she must hide who she truly is for self-preservation. I was [...]
