    1. this was a pretty solid paranormal mystery/thriller with no small dash of romance. the pacing was good, with action and twists preventing the story from lagging. one little gripe i had was that sometimes the romance seemed to be overly angsty and the conflict was being created for the sake of it, but overall it worked quite well.

    2. 3.5 Good spooky haunted house/paranormal investigators/supernatural 👻 tale. Jason and Cameron needed a good slap upside their heads a few times, but on the whole I enjoyed it. The ending leaves an opening for more from these guys, so hopefully we will see more of them soon.

    3. Rites of Spring is a good paranormal romance with suspense. Fans of Supernatural might enjoy the similar investigative style. I know that aspect appealed to me.This is a new author for me, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm a sucker for a PNR. I’m giving this 3.5 stars. I had a few issues with it, but overall I enjoyed it. It had kind of a slow start, and I found it a bit wooden at times. I also felt certain parts were drawn out longer than they needed to be.Eventually, I found the story [...]

    4. A Hearts on Fire review.I was pretty conflicted about this book. On the one hand the paranormal aspects were very well handled and extremely interesting. And while the beginning was a little choppy once the story picked up I couldn’t put the book down. On the other hand, I hated Jason. He was one of the ghost hunters and the love interest, and I think Cameron deserved better. He started out an ass, he continued to be rude and cruel throughout the book, and by the end we were told to forgive hi [...]

    5. 2.5Honestly, I wasn't all that impressed. It was a serious case of an interesting plot let down by lackluster writing. I mean, there was just not tension in the writing and absolutely no realistic emotions. Ghosts are real reaction. Psychic are real reaction. Werewolves are real reaction. Someone from you past is trying to kill you reaction. The occult reaction. Demons reaction. Oh, but a stranger knock on your doorgo bat-shit crazy aggressive on them. Then there was the romance. Cameron and Jas [...]

    6. I seem to be in agreement with many who read this. It was an ok story. The characters were likable enough, but the writing left something to be desired. For the story being written in third person I still felt that I didn't get to experience all of the story and characters. It's tricky doing third person to capture all aspects and senses of the characters in the story without it revealing everything and spoiling the story. I felt like the story was more tell than show. It made the story feel rea [...]

    7. Based on the description, I was hoping for a page turning paranormal investigation. What I got instead was a typical romance. If you walk in with more realistic expectations of the romance genre, then you will probably like this book. It was solid in delivering a romance to a T, so the author displays mastery of the genre. The main reason I rated his book with 3/5 stars is how dislikeable Cameron is. He's immature, irrational, and constantly trying to pick fights with his love interest. I guess i [...]

    8. *I voluntarily read a review copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*2.5 stars I was left really disappointed with this book - it just didn't do anything for me. The plot was monotonous and the characters didn't draw me in. Cameron didn't really show any genuine emotion to anything. Despite being wary of the new strangers, he allows them into his house yet didn't really appear shocked by their revelations or by what he was seeing. This one lost my interest pret [...]

    9. MehI can't really pinpoint why, so I think it's a 'me' thing. The book was well written and decently edited. There was nothing in particular wrong with the plot, the themes, the pacing, or the chemistry with the characters. In fact, the unfulfilled sexual tension was thick enough to need a longsword to cut it. This story had a little of everything in terms of what I generally like in a paranormal title: magic, shifters, a strong villain, a little mystery or suspense, a believable crisis or confl [...]
