    1. Book Boyfriend is the first book I have ever read by Claire Kingsley. I have to ask myself why, why, why?! Because I have fallen in love with this book. It was full of humor, it was quirky, sweet, sexy as heck and just beautifully told. And the ending. Well, I swooned. Mia Sullivan loves books. I mean, she really, really does. In real life, I think she was like a patient liaison at a hospital. She wears glasses which are constantly slipping down her nose, she is awkward, constantly dropping thin [...]

    2. DNF at 51%. Heroine is not working for me - way too insecure for me. Hero's not really for me either. Not fond of deception with the thought that it's ok, because the relationship isn't going to last anyway.

    3. Obsessed!I loved Alex & Mia's story. Even more so how Alex was totally enamored with Mia. And even more, more so - how these two just went for it! Balls to the walls and that's exciting to see. Not every scenario has to be huge drama - push n pull defcon 5 end of the world earth shattering post apocalyptic gauntlet fight to the death love stories -_-Book boyfriend gives you all the feels without "devastation" and that my friends is refereshing.2nd book I've read by the author - something tel [...]

    4. I hate to say this, but I hated part of this book. Such an adorable premise, but when one of the characters is a blithering idiot it's hard to get behind it.For one of those few occasions, the dual POV worked as this is a kind of You've Got Mail scenario. The h is a romance blogger; the H is a romance writer with a female pseudonym. The two have been emailing via her blog, and end up meeting cute in real life. The H figures out who the h is, but decides to keep his identity secret because his sal [...]

    6. 4.5 stars. Purchased based on friend's review. New author to me. Great read, couldn't put it down until finished and I really had things I should have been doing today. Looking forward to book 2 & 3.

    7. Book Boyfriend was the first book I've read by Claire Kingsley. It was a standalone; however, Cocky Roommate and Hot Single Dad are both standalone novels that are the siblings to one of the main characters, Alex. Alex Lawson was gorgeous. He carried the weight of his family on his shoulders. He loved to write but was stuck in a computer programming job to pay the bills. Inspiration struck and he became an overnight success as a romance writer under a female pen name.Mia Sullivan was the quirky, [...]

    8. Book Boyfriend is meh. That's the only way to describe it. Alex didn't come across as passionate at all for Mia. Just bland. And Mia seemed a little too embarrassing and pathetic at points which her whole "falling over for him", "you're so perfect" kiss ass business. It was cringe to read about. I don't know if it's rooted down to her insecurities but could she have been anymore obvious? She was better at the end once she took some space from him, but the couple seemed really lacking, both in ch [...]

    9. 3,9. Livro gostoso de ler, sem muito estresse. A autora tem definitivamente, poder com as palavras que escreve. Adorei!!!Vale a leitura. Sessão da tarde.

    10. Title: Book Boyfriend Author: Claire Kingsley 5 amazing starsToo often I've wondered what i would do if the perfect boyfriend showed up in front of me - of course, the kind that i usually only find in books, too good to be true and so very, unbelievably irresistible. I won't lie, i still believe that those kinds of men are only available in our minds and written down in the pages of the best books that i love. Of course, i was more than curious to find out how Claire Kingsley would make her own [...]

    11. This book is a breath of fresh air. It is so good that I really don't know where to start writing a review. Alex is the perfect match for Mia, an introverted girl who happens to run anonymously a book blog for Romance readers. Alex, instead, has always dreamt of publishing a book and when his sister suggests he should write romance novels then the situation gets really complicated. So he decides to write using a pen name (it will obviously be a woman's name) and his books become a success. But t [...]

    12. I just, wow, this one blew me away!! I am thinking I make a new Top Favorite book list just to add it! I just want to leave a small quote here that I felt speaks for the whole book:"I want to turn her pages and read her truth, savoring every word. I want to be the one who gets to read the secret parts, the chapters she only shows with great trust. And when I’m finished, I won’t shelve her."I true Mia style - face plants in awe jajajaja

    13. Okay, I'll admit it I picked this up because of the title But, hello? Book Boyfriend!! - We all love our book boyfriends and when there's a book called Book Boyfriend I just HAVE to check him out ;-) "Don’t get me wrong, I love a good angsty romance. But sometimes it’s nice to read something lighter in between the weighty ones.”And that's exactly what Book Boyfriend by Claire Kingsley is! I really enjoyed this light and funny story. And Alex is definitely a swoon-worthy book boyfriend!

    14. ***ARC Provided by the Author and Give Me Books***I wanted to like this book, and I did like parts of it. I liked the characterization of the characters, although I had issues with some of their actions.I thought the writing style was light, fun and breezy. This amused me and made Mia and Alex seem like real people, most of the time. I did like that the book flows smoothly and that the pacing was consistent throughout. I thought the place where the story started was interesting, and a little dif [...]

    15. 4 very solid romance stars. This book was quite perfect, good twist on the romance writer trope,it was interesting and fun to read about a male writer and his perspective. It was formulaic and that was very much on purpose; in my opinion the hero was a little bit too perfect and the heroine a little too clumsy and adorable, and together they had good chemistry, but could not maintain it throughout the story in a consistent manner (sometimes the interaction was quirky, sometimes it was very sweet a [...]

    16. Book Boyfriend was the sweetest, sexiest rom-com movie, playing out right on my kindle. The romance author/book blogger connection was so clever. Being part of the indie book world, we “meet” people online daily and forge long lasting friendships although we’ve never met in person. What if one of our online book besties was our Prince Charming??? I loved every minute of Alex and Mia’s story and I can’t wait to read more from the amazing Claire Kingsley! FIVE STARS!

    17. Mmm this one was like a tea with way too much sugar in it. But nonetheless I still pretty much enjoyed it.Yeah, apparently I am in some weird romancy period now what can I say.Probably that's the reason whyAnywhooo I liked the whole idea of the bookish clumsy girl and the hot cute author and their relationship development. It was fun and quick read ^^

    18. This was a nice, sweet romance with a tiny bit of angst at the end. I liked both characters and it was quite well-written. This is the first novel I've read by this author and I will check out more by her after this one. 4 stars.

    20. This book was funny in its own way. These two were the total opposite, lol. Mia was clumsy and Alex well put together. In Mia's world she couldn't believe someone like Alex was interested in her but they completely balanced each other out.Alex fought for her after his secret was out and Mia of course felt disgusted but she wasn't going anywhere. Alex family, ❤️ and Mia sister, smh lol. It was a refreshing book to read.

Ama Alex'in hatırına kitabı gömmeyeceğim. Adam tam bir book boyfriend gerçekten! ❤️Kitapta da bahsettiği gibi hafiften Mesajınız Var filmini andırıyor. Tek farkı Mia ve Alex gerçek hayatta birbirind [...]

    22. I'm clearly very, very behind on my reviews. This one was pretty well what the blurb described - no big surprises or unexpected twists. It's an enjoyable, easy afternoon read if you're looking for a light-hearted romance. The twist was better done than I might have expected, since it opened effectively midway through the 'story', and then bounced back to the earlier timeline. I liked the earnestness of the main guy, and the clutsy, friendliness of the main girl.3.75 stars rounded up to 4 stars f [...]

    23. This was a cute and fun book to read. Basically every romances readers dream comes to life when bookworm Mia Sullivan literally crashes into a 'Book Boyfriend'. Considering I have a shelf dedicated to guys just like that, it's no wonder why I had to read this book. Mia is an introvert. She loves to read. Is quirky and clumsy. And does this adorable thing where she blurts out whatever and then tries to retract it. When she meets Alex Lawson, she can't believe her luck. A guy like him asking her o [...]

    24. It is no secret that I am a big fan of Claire Kingsley. She is one of my go to authors in this genre and I will often re-read her books. Claire has done it again with Book Boyfriend. This is a terrific story. Mia is a character that I can relate to. She is introverted, a bit awkward and feels more at home reading than in social situations. That said, the reader should not mistake her for a weak person or a doormat because she is most definitely not. Alex is a typical Claire hero but just taken t [...]

    25. What can I say other than I loved it? I understand that people lie, and sometimes they have good reasons to do so. So I had no problem with Alex protecting himself. I loved Mia and Alex as characters, and together, whew! Chemistry! I love that they're both involved with romance books and they talk about the tropes and expectations. There isn't any forced conflict or drama. I was happy when they were happy, sad when they were sad, thrilled when they were thrilled. I couldn't wait to start reading [...]

    26. Claire Kingsley has done it again with this book.Alex is in a job he doesn't like and ends up becoming a romance writer. He literally bumps into Mia in a bookshop and Alex was blown away with her.Mia is quite a clumsy girl that wants to have a true love relationship. Mia has an alter ego online being a book blogger and has befriended an author named Lexi, little does she know things aren't what they seem.I loved this book as I do with all Claire's books. I would recommend this book to anyone tha [...]

    27. I have read all of Claire Kingsley books, and although it is very different to anything she has written before it is truly amazing.Mia is a sweet adorable clumsy girl who is looking for her perfect man, Alex is a gentleman who tries to do the right thing, but has a secret that could ruin everything. The ending is dream worthy and in this case words definitely speak louder than actions! I read this book in one sitting and I tend not to read books more than once, but with this book, I WANT to read [...]
