yes, the synopsis hinted at difficulties, this was not what I was expecting Overall, it was easy to root for the characters and want them to get out of their shitty situations Sadly, I had a hard time with such a downtrodden story The small perks of positivity and happiness weren t enough to make this a book I loved FYI there are several scenes of a women getting beaten and it goes into graphic that one of my favorite things about her stories are the characters she creates They always feel so real, it s like I could reach into the pages and touch them So yes, I definitely recommend this book It s one that will stay with me for a long time to come I loved him once the way a six year old loves with abandon I loved him how I once loved myself Jesse was freedom when so much of my life meant confinement He was laughter during dark nights, he was the warrior who scared the monsters under my bed away he was my friend Stepping into this story, I was already gutted within those first two chapters We jumped back in time and got to see Jesse Lachlan and Scarlett Copeland as children While they were both from extremely broken homes, as children they always had each other Jesse and Scarlett were not only neighbors, but best friends too It hurt to watch them both witness abuse and I could feel their fear pouring off the pages I was heartbroken with how hard their lives already were But years later, we caught up with them when they were 17 And while they were both still in a world of pain, they were no longer friends with one another Jesse has done this a handful of times since our freshman year Glance at me as if I m someone worth looking at, someone worth laughing with a little too loud and smiling with a little too much Then he remembers who I am and snaps his gaze to someone else But he s not looking away now From one event, Scarlett bridged the gap between them and set them on a path One that was filled with hope, redemption, heartache, friendship and even the possibility of love Hold on though, because it was definitely not an easy path Not only do they have their own personal struggles, but there was distance between them Even with that distance, when Scarlett and Jesse had the tiniest amount of interaction, I was smiling and sighing out loud I just wanted them both to find happiness, and I knew they could find it in each other Scarlett lifts her head and smiles at me It s a gentle smile, and one that causes a spike of excitement in my blood It s as if the sun has melted off her outer shell and has revealed the girl I once knew, and a woman I want to get to know Scarlett was a girl who made me feel every single emotion she did I felt suffocated by the way her father treated her and in other moments her fear consumed me Chills ran down my back and the hair stood up on my arm I found myself terrified for Scarlett and the life she was stuck in Thankfully, she started to find her voice and I was so proud of her Scarlett was strong, resilient, loving and I kept hoping her life would change That every moment could feel like when she was with Jesse Because when Scarlett was with Jesse, it felt like she could be breathe The breeze plays with the ends of her hair, and I capture that moment A snapshot of something I want to remember Scarlett s back on my land My friend My foe The person who used to push me, compete with me and made me alive My Tink Jesse captured my heart by listening, helping and always caring for Scarlett when she came back into his life While I had my guess for why he shut her out his freshman year, I was still upset with him That didn t affect that I loved him with my whole heart and soul I quickly connected with Jesse, just like Scarlett They both struggled and saw in their lifetime than anyone should But Jesse had a family curse and he was fighting to keep what belonged to him His land As the story unfolded it became evident that if Scarlett and Jesse both wanted what they desperately needed, they d have to work together Scarlett, there are two times that I can breathe in deeply without wincing in pain, and being with you is one of them If I could, I d keep you here forever My third favorite person in this story was Glory Gardner She was a distant cousin to Jesse and played such an important role in Scarlett and Jesse s life I don t want to say what role she played, but Glory fascinated me with her tarot cards and being able to converse with the spirits So I kept hoping that she would lead Jesse and Scarlet into happier times Because they than deserved it His fingers trail up and down my arm and the sensation tickles, causing pleasing goose bumps along my skin There s a safety that radiates from his touch A safety I wish I could take with me wherever I go Only a Breath Apart was so easy to devour, even with the story constantly pulling on my heart So many times I d go from smiles, to having my heart in my throat and then to having tears pour down my face It was such an emotional book So when I finished that last page, I was so thankful that I stepped into Jesse and Scarlett s lives Now I can t wait to devour whatever Katie McGarry writes next PS I d love a look into the future If Jesse and Scarlett ever have a novella about where the road takes them, I d one click that so fast Here are a few of my favorite quotes Each time I think it s impossible for my heart to hurt any than it already does, it finds another painfully imaginative way to twist Scarlett Second star on the right I haven t been Tink to his Peter Pan for a long time But watching Jesse head off to the land the two of us conquered in battles that belonged in our heads creates a sense of nostalgia I can t ignore I start for the land that calls to Jesse, the land that used to call to me It s definitely time for an adventure I hate myself because I wish I could feel I wish I were normal I wish I wasn t me Scarlett I will always risk everything to save her She didn t know it then She doesn t know it now Scarlett once said she was empty I ve never been empty I ve been loved, and I ve loved in return, but I don t do it with many She was one of the few Still is Always will be I fashion, Only a Breath Apart is a raw and gritty story of second chances and self discovery.Only a Breath Apart follows the story of Jesse and Scarlett All his life, Jesse has been told that he is emotional Katie McGarry understands characters and relationship dynamics in a way that is so real and honest She creates characters that I fall so hard in love with that it hurts just a bit when I have to admit to myself that they aren t real The writing is excellent The plotting and pacing are spot on, and this story is gritty and aches in all the right and wrong kinds of ways It ran me through the full emotional spectrum, and the end result is that it was such a satisfying read that I expect this story will cling to me, even after I have moved on to other books I will definitely father s actions and she fears him, she also has good memories of him, and those sometimes cloud her thinking Plus, everyone else in her family seems to forgive him, so she wonders why she can t seem to do the same and if she should do the same The issue of blame comes up a lot If Scarlett provokes her father, is his response her fault Her father has something tragic in his past that explains his controlling behavior, so does he get a free pass Can people change And if they do, does that mean all is forgiven These questions all felt very real to me, along with the excuses that are made for Scarlett s father I think that there are unfortunately quite a few teens out there that will be able to relate to Scarlett s story in one way or another. The mystical aspect This book had a mystical aspect to it that surprised me Jesse s aunt Glory is a psychic, and that plays into the storyline in some pretty major ways Even though this book is definitely a contemporary romance, fans of paranormal books will love how the mystical aspects are woven into the story And skeptics will be satisfied too, because there s a healthy dose of skepticism expressed throughout the book Is Glory s gift real or is she just really intuitive You ll have to decide for yourself.Christianity depicted in a positive light without making the book feel religious We rarely see religion depicted in YA books at all these days unless the book is published by a Christian imprint, and often when we do see it, it s to show how judgmental and bigoted Christians can be That s why I always breathe a little sigh of happiness when I see a book where religion is handled positively without being a focus of the story Neither of the MCs in the book is religious, but Scarlett ends up seeing a pastor for counseling, and he talks to her about the nature of forgiveness what it is and what it isn t He even uses a Bible story to illustrate his point And he is the one who encourages Scarlett to talk about what s happening in her family and actually do something about it The book shows Christian principles in a positive light, something I always appreciate.Jesse and Scarlett This is a romance, so I suppose I should mention that I loved Jesse and Scarlett together The book starts out with Scarlett pretty much hating Jesse because of the way he ended their friendship years ago, but she still remembers their friendship growing up, so she can never hate him fully this parallels her relationship with her dad in some ways, but we see the other side of the coin here Jesse has a horrible reputation, and he s broken in a lot of ways So, he could certainly be seen as the stereotypical bad boy with a heart of gold But, like I said, McGarry never lets you see her characters as stereotypes because we understand them too well We see their flaws, but we also see the why in them So, I was rooting for these two with my whole heart, and I wanted them to find happiness with each other. What Left Me Hungry for More Not much Okay, so the wrap up at the end of the book felt a teensy bit long to me, and there were moments when you could argue that the messages are heavy handed But I can t remember the last time I was so wrapped up in a contemporary story, so none of that truly bothered me.Contemporary romance with a bit of grit and a whole lot of heart Only a Breath Apart gives hope to and Scarlett are childhood friends that find a way back to one another after tragedy once again intervenes in their lives It s a story that will hit home for many readers as you follow the journey, but at the same time will give you hope they can work through the hardships and learn to hope once The pain and struggles that Jesse and Scarlett endure will grab you by your heartstrings What trabspires to lead them through life will captivate you and leave you wondering what will happen next It s a story that is relatable to many that will delve into their struggles While I enjoyed this book, I did find the ending a bit rushed than I would have liked to encountered There was so much about the struggles these two endured to make it to the ending in that last third of the book I just wasn t satisfied with the summarizing All in all the book is interesting and relatable Judge for yourself just how endearing Jesse and Scarlett are in one another s life flag 7 likesLike see review a beautiful, heart wrenching story about love, hope, resilience and self discover through the greatest of trauma and challenges It is earthy, emotional and magical everything readers have come to know and love from Katie McGarry Devoted fans and new readers alike will not be disappointed with this gripping story. From the outside, Scarlett has a perfect life a great family, big house and secure plans for her future What no one sees is the stifling control her father has over her life, the fear she lives in, or her own dreams that she will never get to realise Across the road lives Jesse Lachlin Once the best of friends, Jesse pushed Scarlett away at the start of high school in a bid to protect Scarlett from the curse he feels plagues his family anyone he loves will be hurt After the death of his beloved grandmother, the land he owns, loves and lives on is all he has left but he must decide how far he will go to save it and, as it reconnects him with Scarlett, where his future lies.It s no surprise that this book was an emotional rollercoaster it s what I love best about Katie McGarry s books This story is reminiscent of some of her earlier works and I loved the nostalgic feel alongside a new and totally different story Despite themes of magic and overtones of the fantastical curses, psychics Only A Breath Apart remains within the boundaries of contemporary, realistic fiction And yet this book is magic It s the magic of finding love for the first time, the magic of connection with others and the world, the magic of everyday, little things that mean so much I also loved the intertwining of faith and the spiritual in this story Beautifully done Once again, Katie brings us a wonderful group of supportive friends surrounding her main characters While Jesse s friends don t get a lot of page time, their support and tight bonds forged through life s harshness are tangible throughout the story The other secondary characters, Jesse s cousin Glory, Scarlett s pastor, and Jesse s uncle help restore your faith in humanity a little and provide the perfect balance between certain other adults in this book.Scarlett and Jesse shine Both have experienced the worst of humanity and yet remain so strong, despite everything life has done to knock them down Finding each other, restarting their childhood friendship and closeness, and finding a new spark of romance is simply a continuation of their story and it all felt so natural and meant to be Together they forge new paths for themselves, but while they are each there to support and love the other, their romance and relationship never gets in the way of the growth that they must each make and the choices they must face alone Their self discovery and resilience is inspiring Only A Breath Apart is an achingly beautiful story, with hope to counter the despair, faith and love to counter hurt, and a book I know contemporary fans will love I certainly did The publishers provided an advanced readers tried to stay up late last night, but my eyes refused to stay open despite how engrossed I was in the story Katie McGarry never fails to captivate me with her writing, and Only a Breath Apart was no exception My heart was breaking for both Jesse and Scarlett, and I enjoyed watching them learn to trust in each other again.Neither character has had an easy life, and their secrets are vastly different, but they ve always been connected I don t know if it was something they shared as children, or some connection the land, but there was something that kept these two together They ve needed each other, and their loneliness was painful to read about They ve guarded themselves against the world with good reason , and it took the two of them working together to penetrate those walls It s hard to overcome the need for self preservation, and learning how to love is never easy.I hated the way these two treated each other at the beginning of the book, especially after seeing how much they cared for one another as children They grew up together, and then something happened to end their friendship The reason isn t revealed for awhile, and I wish Jesse had been honest with Scarlett from the beginning He could have told her the promise he made to his mother, and how it contradicted the one he made to his Gran I think Scarlett would have been understanding, but instead he left her in her own personal hell with no one to talk to.There are some supernatural aspects to this story, but it s subtle Glory claims to be a psychic and tells Scarlett she is too, but even Jesse just thinks his cousin is exceptionally good at conning people Glory would read palms and perform tarot card readings, but she also managed to make predictions that had an uncanny ability to come true It s left up to the reader to determine whether or not they want to believe in something magical, or play it off as a coincidence I thought McGarry did a wonderful job balancing between the two.I was so angry while I read this book, but it wasn t directed at Scarlett and Jesse Yes, I wanted them to talk to each other and share confidences, but I also understood where both of them were coming from I was angry with how the world treated them, and what they had to endure just to get though each and every day They both had dreams and aspirations, but neither had people that believed in them Their friends were there, but on the outskirts and never privy to the emotional turmoil they both experienced Only a Breath Apart was another phenomenal book by Katie McGarry If you ve enjoyed her books in Friendship Scarlett and Jesse s renewed friendship took center stage, and it really was a beautiful history they shared They spent their childhood together and shared an unknown bond as victims of domestic abuse They understood each other in a way many others could not, and I was so happy they found their way back to one another Jesse also had a great group of friends, or rather, found family, who were not only really interesting, but fiercely loyal and protective of him Jesse was often referred to as Peter Pan, and at one point he compared his friends to the lost boys I would agree, that they shared some similarities, when it came to standing by each other Social Issues McGarry always touches upon some social issues in her books, and here, she tackled domestic abuse and the farming industry I thought she did a great job showing us how the system can help, but also fail those in an abusive situation I really appreciated the way she explored all sides of it, and did so with a lot of honesty The pieces relating to farming were also very interesting, and that is something I definitely do not know much about Family There was a lot of family drama packed in here The storyline concerning the abuse was difficult, it was really painful, but it was a big part of what shaped Jesse and Scarlett, and it also had a big influence on the futures they thought they could or couldn t have The characters struggled with their love for their families, but also their distaste for the way they were and the things they let happen Those conflicted emotions came across as quite authentic, and I couldn t help but share their heartache However, not all the family interactions were bad Jesse s cousin, Glory, and his uncle showed that they were firmly on his side, and they were also champions of Scarlett s They ended up being two great people to have in their corners, and I was so happy with the way McGarry incorporated them into the story Romance It was really important for me, that these two let their walls fall, because I needed them to be together Their connection was beyond amazing, and they just belonged to one another At one point, Jesse talked about how he was born to love Scarlett, and I could only nod in agreement They supported each other, and gave each other space when necessary They were willing to sacrifice for each other, as well, and that was a real testament to their love Magic This was what surprised me This book had some magical elements woven into the plot There was a curse, a connection to the land, and psychics I actually enjoyed the psychic elements, especially the palm reading I never knew much about it before, and there were some really fascinating bits included pertaining to palmistry Though it was not as magical, I liked the whole idea of Jesse being connected to the land as a farmer I may be a city girl, but I still root for and want to see family farms flourish This book was an emotional rollercoaster It made me happy and sad It broke my heart, but also filled it with joy It was classic Katie with a twist, and I enjoyed it immensely ARC provided in exchange for an honest review BLOG INSTAGRAM TWITTER BLOGLOVIN chest with all the love I had for Jesse and Scarlett This story is just everything I always expect the best of Katie, and I m happy to say she overpassed herself with this book So Only a Breath Apart is the story of two best friends soul mates who ve been connected since they were kids but fell apart when they were fifteen years old During those years, Scarlett and Jesse had to face the intensity and drama of their lives, family problems, financial problems, loneliness and But right after Jesse s grandmother died, all hell broke loose for both of them But one good thing happened among all the bad They became friends again But it wasn t something they wanted Glory, Jesse s aunt, who also was a psychic, told them both they needed to work together to get what they wanted Jesse wanted his land and Scarlett wanted her freedom And this is when their adventures re started Trusting again in each other, telling each other secrets and fears and understanding that together they would succeed was what Glory and Jesse s grandmother wanted for them and they did It was beautiful to read how that happened, but it was also painful Their secrets and fears were heartbreaking but they gave each other strength to face them and move forward and finally find their HEA that they both needed and deserved Like I said before, the audiobook was my lifesaver with this story I cried and cried and cried My heart was aching half of the time and thanks to the audio, I didn t stop In fact, I stayed up until 3 am listening to the audiobook because I needed to know what was going to happen next Brittany Pressley Graham Halstead did an exceptional job in their performances Their voices matched perfectly the characters, main and secondary I particularly loved the voice they made for Glory, they sounded again I ve been a huge fan since her first publication, Pushing the Limits I ve read that book so many times, it s embarrassing And though I ve taken huge pleasure in many of her books since, I think Only A Breath Apart is her VERY BEST so far This book slayed me Story Characters Jesse Lachlin believes he s cursed, and in order to keep himself safe, he must follow two rules Don t love and stay on the land That s what his mother taught him from an early age and for most of his young adult life, he believed it He even went so far as to give up the one person he loved most, but now he needs her help or he ll lose the only thing he has left his land.Scarlett Copeland has been betrayed by the people closest to her It started with the love she thought was supposed to be protective and unconditional but turned acidic and violent Her second betrayal was when the boy she called her best friend, turned his back on her Now they need each other in order to move forward but Scarlett s secrets are buried deep, and she s not sure she can trust, let alone have faith in the boy who crushed her all those years ago. What a ride This book from the moment it opens up, I was hooked, consumed, enthralled you name it If it meant being glued to the pages and not becoming part of the real world until the last page was read, that s what I did Jesse was a breath of fresh air I adored his character Salt of the earth, down to his soul Jesse Lachlin was pure goodness He had some very adult decision to make and my heart just broke for him at every turn Life had dealt him a crappy hand but it also gave him love and understanding when he needed it most He was encircled by a support system he needed when it all came crashing down and I loved how he and his friends were written.Scarlett, aka Tink, was a bright light in the middle of some very dark situations Even though her life was spiraling out of control, I LOVED this girls strength Her compassion, her zest for life and her love for herself and her family were inspiring This author knows how to write a phenomenal hero, but she also knows how to write an equally praiseworthy heroine. And as always, this author gives us a surrounding cast that s than just background work They are an intricate part of the story that breathes color, life, and artistry to an already impressive canvas I delighted in the scenes with Glory as she weaves a little woo woo mystic into the story, and I very much enjoyed the band of misfits in Tink and Peter Pans circle I hope we see of them later on The Wrap Up Simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting, Only A Breath Apart is a beautiful, well told, inspirational story about courage and hope, about growing up, about learning to love and to trust, even after life has given you reason to do neither It s also about learning to love yourself, find your true self and even when you feel lost, learning there is than one path in finding your happiness. The writing was Scarlett were childhood best friends but had a falling out in freshman year They are also neighbors but both come from very different backgrounds Scarlett comes from a rich and affluent family, while Jesse comes from a family known to be cursed, rich in land but poor otherwise I am all for enemies to lovers and initially, Jesse and Scarlett were not really friends I loved how Katie McGarry fleshed out the story of each main character through their alternating POV, and it made me understand both on a deeper level. However, as much as I liked this book, I had a hard time dealing with the triggers in this book and I was definitely triggered While I never suffered any of the situations featured in this book, but I was just disturbed It was quite obvious that despite the glittery and rich facade, Scarlett lived a lie and tried her best to hide it from the public Her situation was really what made it hard for me to read and I really wanted to skip a few pages at times. While it was hard for me to read Only a Breath Apart, I am glad that I soldiered on and finished it Ultimately, this book spoke to me.Only a Breath Apart also has a mystical aspect to the book and this theme is seen throughout the book I also felt that the atmosphere was a little bit Peter Pan like, most especially because Jesse calls Scarlett as Tink Not only that, I just felt that this book had a touch of magic.Katie McGarry writes books about real life situations and I love that about her She handles it really well I understood Scarlett s fear and really felt so much for Jesse and the cards that were A beautiful coming of age story with drama, romance and a touch of the mystical, this is the story of two very damaged teenagers dealing with heartwrenching situations, and in doing so, finding out who they are, what they want, and falling in love along the way It s a beautiful book with all the feels, and I loved it Do you ever wish you were somebody else From an early age, Jesse Laughlin was taught two things to love and respect his family s land, and that to leave the land would activate a curse that has haunted his family for decades His tragic childhood only reinforced those lessons and, looked down upon by the two he grew up in, the only peace he found was on the land with his best friend and his beloved grandmother Following the death of his grandmother, the land is all that he has left and he has a deep love for it though a stipulation in her will could see him lose his legacy Scarlett was Jesse s childhood best friend She grew up on the property next to his, though with a very different life The daughter of a well loved, well respected businessman in their small town, she was forced to keep her friendship with Jesse a secret from her disapproving father but that didn t stop her from disappearing out her window whenever she got the chance so that they could run free together It was an arrangement that continued up until they became teenagers and Jesse broke Scarlett s heart, deserting her without a word and distancing himself completely His cruelty left her confused, shattered and alone, and though she has since moved on, she still mourns for the friendship they once had But that pales in significance to the drama now unfolding in her house as her father s anger and demand for control spirals out of control, shifting their family dynamic in inevitable ways Everything begins to change for Jesse and Scarlett when Jesse learns that in order to keep his land, he ll need to win Scarlett s approval With the intervention of Jesse s psychic cousin, the two enemies are suddenly forced together, told that they need to rely on each other to get through the brewing storm, with Jesse fighting hard to win back the trust of the girl that he hurt so badly I have nine months to win her over, and it s going to take all that time to undo what s happened between us. I loved the dynamic between these two There is so much emotion between them good and bad and their journey as they get to know each other once again, re establish their friendship and earn and learn trust is beautifully written Why did you stop talking to me she asks After all those years of seeing each other day in and day out, why did you stop being my friend She pauses, and I lower my head because each and every word is a paper cut on my heart What did I do wrong I shake my head because I got nothing Nothing that will make sense to her What s worse, I don t have anything that makes sense to me At least not any. Each moment with Scarlett and Jesse together is just beautiful It s honest, raw, confusing and painful, but the moments of sweetness increase as their bond is re established and it was so gorgeous to watch It s as if the sun has melted off her outer shell and has revealed the girl I once knew, and a woman I want to get to know. And, of course, there is romance Slow burning, sweet and innocent, I could feel the shifting feelings between them and I fell right along with them as they bravely followed their hearts and openly explored their emotions There s something than friendship between us A trust and love that had taken root when we were children, something that has grown, something that once took a wrong turn and had to be pruned Something that has been allowed to reflourish and is on the verge of going wild But the romance is just a small part of Scarlett and Jesse s journeys Scarlett is dealing with a hellish situation at home and Jesse s entire future is up in the air They both have a lot of growing and learning to do, and watching them find their inner strength and deal with it all is amazing They have each other to lean on, of course, but there is a fantastic cast of side characters helping them on the way and bringing so much to the story The mystical aspect of the book is there, but it s minor at first I was a little wary of how that all was going to play out, but it worked with the themes of the story and I thought it was handled well It s Scarlett and Jesse s individual battles to find their way forward that are the crux of the story, and that make this such a special read Pain is what makes you grow, it s what makes you mature, it s what helps lead you to the path you are meant to be on If everything is good all the time, there would never be change. The book deals with some really serious subject matter with themes of violence, murder and domestic abuse, with emotional and physical assault occurring on the page, and the emotional impact of all of that explored in detail Those scenes are hard to read but the harshness of those moments is softened somewhat by the strength of Scarlett and Jesse, and by their love story which brings a beautiful lightness and had my happily lovesick little heart soaring You love me I ve been in love with you for as long as I can remember I don t remember not loving you It s always been there as easy and beautiful as the sun rising in the morning. I really loved this story It reminded me a bit of Pushing the Limits one of my all time fave reads and the reason that McGarry is an auto buy author for me with some similarities in the story setup and the way it all played out Scarlett and Jesse are amazing characters and I finished this book with tears rolling down my face at how beautiful it all was, and then when I saw the playlist and quite unintentionally listened to Ed Sheeran s Perfect , I started crying all over again Beautiful 4.5 stars An Advanced Review Copy was generously provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. flag 4 likesLike see review Jan 13, 2019 Kimberly Garner rated it it was amazing This book is in short amazing, It s not a run of the mill YA This book tackles some serious issues, such as abuse It s handled beautifully by the author, This book has so much depth to it, the depth of the story, the depth of the characters, all make this book flow seamlessly, The characters have so much to overcome While not yet adults, they have to make adult decisions In this day and age, that isn t unheard of It does show a strength of character The flow of the book is flawless, there This book is in short amazing, It s not a run of the mill YA This book tackles some serious issues, such as abuse It s handled beautifully by the author, This book has so much depth to it, the depth of the story, the depth of the characters, all make this book flow seamlessly, The characters have so much to overcome While not yet adults, they have to make adult decisions In this day and age, that isn t unheard of It does show a strength of character The flow of the book is flawless, there is always great dialogue and inner dialogue as well Told in dual pov, this is a heart wrenching all the feels sort of book flag 4 likesLike see review View all 3 comments previous 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 next new topicDiscuss This Book topics posts views last activity Young Adult Conte 4 Only a Breath Apart by Katie McGarry 4 6 4 hours, 48 min ago More topics Share Recommend It Stats Recent Status Updates Katie McGarry 11,949 followers KATIE MCGARRY was a teenager during the age of grunge and boy bands and remembers those years as the best and worst of her life She is a lover of music, happy endings, and reality television, and is a secret University of Kentucky basketball fan.Katie would love to hear from her readers Contact her via her website, katielmcgarry, follow her on Twitter KatieMcGarry, or become a fan on Facebo KATIE MCGARRY was a teenager during the age of grunge and boy bands and remembers those years as the best and worst of her life She is a lover of music, happy endings, and reality television, and is a secret University of Kentucky basketball fan.Katie would love to hear from her readers Contact her via her website, katielmcgarry, follow her on Twitter KatieMcGarry, or become a fan on Facebook and Readers Also Enjoyed

    3. Welp This was a bit of a struggle I have read and loved all of Katie s other books, so I was all in without really reading the synopsis That cover made me think it was just the standard mid level angst she normally writes I liked Scarlett and Jesse well enough They have a boatload of history with a second boatload of issues to deal with There are a few other characters, but no one stood out to me For me, they read as plot devices and that is sort of tragic because there s a lot of potenti Welp T [...]
