    2. A very interesting book that emphasizes four things: 1. Concentrating on the present (the best present) 2. Learning from the past 3. Planning for the future 4. Having a goalNow I like Spencer Johnson. I wanna read "Who Moved my Cheese" now.

    5. This was written by the same guy as "Who Moved My Cheese" and is an excellent short little motivational book for people who need a better perspective on life. You can easily read it in a few minutes and I'm very glad I found it because it has helped me see things differently. Dr. Johnson has a unique gift for teaching you things about life through parallels that anyone can understand. I think his work is brilliant and I would recommend it to anybody who doesn't mind self-help books. My husband w [...]

    7. This could actually inspire rather amusing birthday cards:(on front of card) Dear, I have a present for you. (inside) It's right here, every moment of your life. Breathe in (unless you're in China, have severe allergies, or are around smokers).Enjoy (unless you have insomnia and really would prefer to go to sleep).Take note of each second (unless you're taking a test, in which case checking your watch would only waste time).See your world anew each moment (unless you're taking a memory or other [...]

    9. A little Jen of a book. While there are many books focusing on living in the present, I really liked the simplicity of this, and how it was told through story. It helped me to remember what is most important in life. I too, am thankful for the gift of "The Present."

    12. The story tells about a precious present that when found will make you forever happy! You can't get it by wishing, or looking anywhere, because you already have it. Once you realize what it is, you will be content only you can give yourself the precious present. This book taught me to make the most out of each moment and to learn that good or bad, the present is where you are and what matters most go with it. You can't go back and relive or change the past. Future plans aren't always the same whe [...]

    14. this book gave me the chance to look at me who have been living in the world. Especailly, about my passed, present, and my furture.r a long time, i think that it is not important for me to do my life in present. but, present is my present(Gift). i will do my best in my life. and i will prepare for my furture.

    21. Self help, executive coaching, life management. Takeaways: (a) Live in the present - When you want to be happy and successful. Focus on what is right now. Use your purpose to respond to what is important now; (b) Learn from the past - When you want to make the present better than the past. Look at what happened in the past. Learn something valuable from it. Do things differently in the present; (c) Plan for the future - When you want to make the future better than the present. See what a wonderf [...]

    22. Pretty Basic yet a good story. This "airplane read" (cuz I can read it in under 1 1/2 hours) was a business/life fable. I like this brand of learning by having someone write a good story. What seemed to be missing was the big points in this message. Don't get me wrong, the underlying learning in this story is very good. Live in the present, take from the past only what helps you and focus on plans in the future. I just told you the whole booke what I mean about basic?

    23. When I first started reading this book, I found it a little cheesy because it is written in such a simplistic way, and the story line is somewhat bland. However, it got better and it had some valid points. My favorite quote in this book is, "It is hard to let go of the past if you have not learned from the past. As soon as you learn and let go you improve the present."

    25. The Precious Present was a lovely little book that reminds me to concentrate on living in the present & not to focus on the past or the future too much. I would recommend it to anyone who might need a gentle reminder not to dwell on the past or worry too much about the future.

    26. Focus on the present. Learn from the past. Plan your future. Know why.There. I just saved you having to read this atrocity.

    29. Best self-help book I have read till date.I found it better than 'Who Moved My Cheese'.No doubt, 'the present' is the best 'present'!Happy reading! :)
