    1. Sam (3): He's flying up behind SpiderMan! He's bad (pointing to the Vulture on the cover). He has spider powers (pointing to Spiderman). Look at Spider-Man! Is he cool on that page? I picked it out from the bookmobile, so nobody knowsBecky knows where our house is. But other people don't. Mandy: Holy cow these books are terrible. Basically no plot, but my kids love seeing the super heroes. These are worse than junk food books, at least you enjoy junk food books even if you feel guilty about it.


    2. The story is a bit bland but the pictures will really be great for the fan of spiderman. I think you could tell a better story with an imagination. Ages 3+

Spider-man realizes that The Vultures wings operate on silent magnetic power. So of course, Spider-man gets out his handy dandy magnet reverser and makes his wings stop working. This book would be good to use for science when learning about magnets. And you could also talk about real birds and how they are [...]


    5. My nephew adores Spider-Man, but neither he nor I were particularly enamored with this book. The story was kind of uninteresting, actually. I've kind of come to expect a bit more from a Susan Hill superhero book, so I was surprised that this one didn't seem to quite measure up to some of her other Spider-Man books in this I Can Read series.
