    1. By now my friends have realized that I have read all three books. Why? These books aren't (in my opinion) very well written at all. Not that I am an expert or can write well but…Parts of them made me want to groan, oh why Yet, I found myself drawn to keep reading. I can't explain it. They are entertaining in the way that I wanted to see what would happen and how he would write it next. It is predictable but yet parts of it were funny to me, how he thinks things will be or how they are even. Su [...]

    2. This review really goes for all 3 books in the series I have read so far. Very interesting take on events of the last days--I enjoyed that. However, I didn't like the glaring lack of descriptive writing. The narrative read more like a timeline: this happened, this this happened next, etc. I would have liked to have writing with more description and character insight. It was certainly a plot-driven novel. At the end of the day, I can tell you the events but can't remember names of characters beca [...]

    3. I had high expectations for this book, but was somewhat disappointed. I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, but this one is lacking. I also didn't like some of the literary license the author took with real people. This book could have been double or triple the size. It failed to really delve into the character's lives, like the other two books did. This book also seemed very fictionalized, while the other two books were definitely fiction, but still plausible. Maybe the author sh [...]

    4. I really enjoyed the idea of this book as this series continues to give one way that the events of the last days could happen. In this book we see the city of New Jerusalem beginning to flourish and the return of the lost Ten Tribes. However while the idea was interesting, I didn't think this book was as well written as the first two in the series. It was almost as though the author needed to keep everything compressed in under 200 pages. It just seemed very concise at times.

    5. LOVED this sequel! LOVE the whole series. Oh, I just want to be there with them as they go through these marvelous experiences! Third time through this series though, I had to reduce my stars for this title, because the writing is SO poor. This particular title is so slow for the first half! At least the thrill of the second half brought it back up from three stars! (The writing deserves two stars, but the story line and how it stirs me are what make up the difference.)

    6. Now that the bar is set low. I liked this book more than the first 2 books. It isn't great written at all and some of the story lines and sub plots are laughable. The whole series is written like he is telling a 5 year old what will happen. He at least makes an attempt to describe what New Jerusalem will be like and how he thinks the end of time events might happen.

    7. This story is very interesting. The series deals with things that could happen to prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The author has carefully researched the scriptures for information. This is the second time that I have read this book. Both my daughter and I like this series.

    8. I am loving this series, I am happy to be reading this series in order. Sometimes it seems a challenge to do so. The plot is developing well in this third book in the series and I am excited to see how it all plays out.

    9. I loved this book. It gave me so much hope. Even though Daybell isn't the best author I've ever read, he has done a lot of research into the Second Coming, and I think most of his story is right on.

    10. A little disappointing, as again I feel like I'm being told a summary of the story rather than reading and being involved in a novel/story and the characaters, events, etc. But still enjoy the story, characters, and writing. I'm looking forward to the next one.

    11. It's hard to say what the end of times will be like and while this might seem like a little watered down version, I'm thinking that the true details would be much more grim. I very much enjoyed this and am looking forward to the next volume.

    12. Seems like the author could have gone a lot deeper, fleshed out the character development, and made it more "enjoyable" to read. It seems "amateurish". But very interesting story and very thought provoking. I'll certainly be recommending it even if he isn't the best story teller.

    13. I really enjoy this series. It gets you thinking, and makes you excited for the Savior's coming. It also makes you want to be more prepared. Are we listening to our Prophet and our other church leaders when they counsel us on how to prepare for the Savior's coming?

    14. I was not impressed. It does make you wonder if the call came to go to Zion would you go? This book however does not have alot of gospel basis to it. I felt it would increase non mormons lack of understanding about who and what we really stand for.

    15. just as amazing as the first two from this series.wow i need book #4 ! how can the future hold such greatness along with knowing there is some sadness along the way ? strength, faith, hope, prayers, family, love, etcChad Daybell is an amazing author ! more more morei need more !

    16. These books are interesting, and there are parts I really like, but it's hard to get past the writing sometimes.

    17. I have enjoyed reading this series! Quick read! I like reading about his take on what it is going to be like during the Second Coming. Makes you think:)

    18. I like the idea of this series. It is interesting to see what may happen as the second coming approaches. I still have a hard time with the authors casual relationship with sacred beings.
