    About "Lynne Connolly"

    1. Lynne Connolly

I was born in Leicester, England, and lived in our cobbler s shop with my parents and sister It was an old house and most definitely haunted, but I didn t find out until I left that my great uncle had hung himself in the living room But I think our ghost might have been older than that It was built on the site of the old Roman cemetery, and the land had been constantly inhabited, being in the centre of town Then, when the council bought the house from us to build a road, my grandfather retired and my father went and worked for the Post Office My mother was a sample machinist that is, she worked with designers on the prototypes models or samples of garments So I was very well dressed We bought a relatively modern house in the country, and my mother was blissfully happy It s all very well living in a large old house, but it s a dreadful task to keep it clean and warm My mother s side of the family are Romany gypsies, although sadly we haven t any of the old trailers that are so astonishingly beautiful I was taught to read the Tarot cards, and I usually use two packs the Rider pack for simple readings and the Crowley Thoth pack for the complex stuff.I ve always had an interest in the paranormal and it s been a delight to be able to put some of this into my novels.

    1. I thought this was the weakest book out of the four of them. Connolly did a great job of making Ashley a bitch of an antagonist in Sunfire, it was a little hard to buy her as a heroine, especially as her entire redemption occurred off-screen. I will say that every time I had a 'but why' question, Connolly invariably answered it within a page or two. I think, when it comes down to it, you could pick up this series at any of the four books, but Sunfire is the strongest one as the pacing problems s [...]

    2. I honestly dont know how I felt about this book. I loved every other book in the series, felt some kind of connection of affection for the characters, but not as much during this one. I was surprised to find myself actually uncomfortable a bit with the sex at parts in this book, and I am not a prude in the slightest, I read plenty of erotic romance, I guess it was just the context. I appreciate that Ashley was supposed to have grown up and changed but it bugged me that she didnt even attempt to [...]

    3. I wasn't originally too excited about reading this book because I didn't care much for Ashley's character in the previous stories. WRONG. The author really made me feel her pain. All of the books are good (great conflicts, well-developed characters and romances, hot love scenes, cool shape-shifters without creepy animal sex), but I think I liked this one best. I sometimes have a hard time with a beloved series ending (hate to say good-bye), but this one left me satisfied and ready to start a new [...]

    4. I've re-read this series at least every three months since finding it! Gotta love those rock star romances!
