    1. Oh my. I had a hard time finding "Wild Highland Magic" in the bookstore; but I refused to miss out, and ordered a copy of Kendra Leigh Castle's latest instead. I'm so, so glad I did. This one was just as good as the other two I've read by her and that makes this author a firm plant onto my 'must read' list.Catrionna and her sisters are so excited to finally be headed to the Scottish homeland of their relatives. But better than the chance to see long-estranged family is the chance to be accepted [...]

    2. I sat on this book for waay too long and had a hard time with the opening chapters, trying to get a feel for the strange, magical world that Castle had created in her first two books. This is not a stand alone, and is probably best enjoyed by reading fairly soon after the first two books. After I figured out the players and the plot, I found myself immersed back in a world of Scottish werewolves, dragonshifters, sorcerers from other dimensions, and evil soul-sucking demons. Good times, of course [...]

    3. This book was a fantastic end to an amazing series! We got to meet several more MacInnes wolf shifters and watch them interact with the original pack. I loved seeing Bastian find his mate and it was great to re-visit all of the other couples. I would highly recommend this series.

    4. Wild Highland Magic is book 3 of the trilogy series, The MacInnes Werewolves. I wish there were more than 3! If you love PNR series that become complex with a variety of preternatural beings, lots of action, and hot romance, this is a series you should check out

    5. Bastian an Morgaine has been cursed. For five generations his family has endured the shadow of a Narial, a beast and a soul eater. He is the last of his blood line and a mixture of a Dyadd (blood drinking Sorcerer) and an Athin (Ice Mage who can travel through worlds and can manipulate water/ ice). Any strong emotion brings on an attack from the Narial, specially happiness and love. He has lived a lonely life, unattached and remote from everyone. Recently, an oracle has giving him hope, the blood [...]

    6. I'm having trouble finding a way to talk about this book. It struck me as strange. Upon reading it I was struck, at least three different times, with the notion that this was a side story to a very large, intricate, and well planned out fantasy universe. Think of those fantasy novels, three or four different races, magic, demons, witches, wizardswhathaveyous and the fantasy novels they entail. Large sweeping stories full of battles and politics and magic. This novel is the more up-close-and-pers [...]

    7. Though sneaking into the daemons lair to rescue an enemy might not work, he is the last of his line and Bastian an Morgaine is determined to break a curse that has plagued his family for generations. Betraying a friend to nurse said enemy to health puts Bastian in a precarious position when Cat (Catriona) MacInnes comes for the family reunion and affects Bastian like a head-on collision. Sharing the shock of collision, Cat's unsure why Bastian seems to be in such a hurry to get away from her but [...]

    8. It has been awhile since I have read a romance book that totally sucked me into the world the author created and drew to me nearly every character in the story. Wild Highland Magic did just that. It has a little of everything for those who like paranormal romances. You have were wolves, dragons, vampires and even a nod towards witches. You can feel the sexual tension brimming between Bastian and Cat from their first meeting and get carried along as they try to find a way to overcome the curse pu [...]

    9. Setting: Camp of the Dyadd Morgain, Coracin: forests of the Carith Noor; Etrais Athinia – seat of the Athin Ice mages; Blighted Kingdom (fortress of the demon); Iargail, Scottish Highlands, seat of the MacInnes Pack – to protect the Stone;Theme: fighting the relentless onslaught of negativity; hope; power of love;Characters:Bastian an Morgain: only son to the Dyana; half Dyim, half Athin; he finally learned that dragon blood – willingly given, will give him the strength to destroy the nari [...]

    10. Wild Highland Magic" is actually the third book by Kendra Leigh Castle along these same lines of sexy shifters of werewolves and sorceresses. I see your raised eyebrows. Keep reading. I myself do not typically (have not ever) read paranormal romances. But I have broadened my horizons and I am glad I did. Featuring your predictable love story it is told with a unique setting and circumstances, obviously unlike anything I've ever read before. Instead of getting turned off by the fantasy worlds I w [...]

    11. Catrionna (Cat) MacInnes and her sisters, Skye and Poppy are half werewolf and half witch. Their father shunned his werewolf lineage and never taught his daughters about their werewolf powers, but let them struggle with them alone. When their father announces they are going to make a trip to the Scottish Highlands, they’re surprised but excited to finally meet other clan members and their Uncle Duncan, who is the Alpha of the pack. Bastian an Morgaine, is half Dyadd, the only male born to the [...]

    12. Wild Highland Magic by Kendra Leigh Castle is the last of this trilogy which has just the right amount of paranormal and fantasy sugar coated in romance. A delicious read without any added calories that will certainly satisfy your most carnal sweet tooth.Bastian an Morgain is tall, lean and sexy hot. A man, a prince and wizard, he is also cursed with the most foul disgusting creature to crawl out of anyones worst nightmares. He lives one day at a time never knowing when the creature will finally [...]

    13. Catriona MacInnes, along with her sisters Skye and Poppy, are half werewolves, half witches growing up in sunny California with their father, Freddie. Never taught how to use or control their powers, never knowing they weren't unique - they were surprised when their father announced a family trip to the Scottish Highlands. A trip to meet his brother Duncan, Alpha of the MacInnes Pack.Upon arriving at Iargail, the ancestral home of the Macinnes', Cat could see that it was going to take some time [...]

    14. *She's a Scottish Highlands werewolf, but no one's ever shown her how to use her powers…*Growing up in America with a father who hates his own nature, Catrionna MacInnes has always tried desperately to control her powers and pretend to be normal. Now her father has brought her and her sisters to Scotland to reunite with the pack they fled years ago…*He's a wizard prince with a devastating secret…*Bastian an Morgaine has found sanctuary among the MacInnes werewolf clan but no relief from th [...]

    15. When Bastian an Morgaine was right years old, his father tells him that he is dying and that he is the last of the males in the line of Athins. A group of very powerful ice mages. He warns Bastian to never fall in love as it will only cause awful and painful heartache. The reason for this is because many, many years ago when Bastian's grandfather, the high mage was alive; he was visited by a daemon named Cadmus. Cadmus wanted the daemons and the Athins to join houses. As part of this deal Cadmus [...]

    16. Bastian an Morgaine is the last in a line of sorcerers who have been plagued by a curse for the last five generations. Bastian had hoped to be able to rid himself of it, and even though he takes steps to fight the curse, he truly does not have much hope. When he meets Cat, MacInnes werewolf, his life completely changes. Bastian is from the parallel world of Coracin, and Cat is from Earth. Bastian has fled to the MacInnes home in Scotland to recuperate and plan his next move, but his timing is te [...]

    17. Give a brief summary:In the lastest installment of this Highland werewolf series, Baustian an Morgaine is dealing with a life-sucking daemon. Although he has a large family of sisters, he feels alone at all times and is staying with the MacInnes werewolf clan. He is completely focused on trying to defeat the daemon until he comes across Catrionna MacInnes and then that focus changesLikes? What I liked about this book was revisiting the MacInnes and Morgaine clans while getting to new new characte [...]

    18. This is my second time attempting this book and I have no idea why I had so much problem the first time around. I actually give this 4.5 stars. I loved the world building and the complex storyline. I wish that I had read the first two in this series before this one, as it feels like I have come in at the end and am missing alot (which I did and I am). But this story stands on it's own just fine. The world the author describes is rich and complex, full of daemons, shape-shifters (both wolf and dr [...]

    19. Wild Highland MagicWritten By: Kendra Leigh CastlePublished By: Sourcebooks Casablanca, an imprint of Sourcebooks Inc 2009, First Edition, 384 pages, paperbackISBN 978-1402218569Wild Highland Magic is a very satisfying read. I was a little apprehensive about this book because often times it is very difficult to blend fantasy together with real life and make is convincing; lucky for us, Kendra was able to write this story with seamless ease and it is a riveting story! This smoothly flowing novel [...]

    20. This is nice, well-written book, but it just didn't pull me into it. In all fairness, I must add, there were some very unsettling events that happened while I was reading it which might have colored my perspective. It's the third in the trilogy about the MacInnes werewolves (my bad-I haven't been able to get a copy of book #2--it's on backorder, and I went ahead and read this first). We meet long-estranged members of the clan, Frederick and his three daughters, Catriona (Cat), Poppy and Skye. The [...]

    21. I loved the final conclusion to the series, although I would read more if they were to be written. In the final book we get to learn more about the brooding, loner, sexy, mysterious, powerful Bastian. His father's bloodline was cursed a few generations ago and they have all died out but him. If he is to break this curse he must seem help from an unwilling sort and help has to be freely given, easier said then done. But the worst of his problems has just begun, he was warned as an eight year old b [...]

    23. I absolutely loved this book! Ice Mage, Bastian an Morgaine is a tormented hero carrying around a curse without a discernible cure. Werewolf Catriona MacInnes has just arrived in Scotland, visiting her werewolf relatives for the first time. She and her sisters, Poppy and Skye, have been kept in the dark about their heritage by their father and have basically had to learn their way by trial and error. Well the first error Catriona makes in Scotland is to "mate" with Bastian through a blood exchan [...]

    24. reading these 3 books out of sequence has made it a bit difficult to follow some of the sub plots, but not impossiblee linking of the different 'species' is very good and i like her style of writing the pop culture references made me laugh out loud! to say the hero is sexy would be the understatement of the decade and being from Scotland myself made me wonder where on earth all these sexy werewolves could possibly be hiding!! have now downloaded the first two and will read them all through in s [...]

    25. What's not to like about Cat and Bastian? Their journey to a happy ending starts off with a bang and never let's up the pace. One thing I don't understand is this: if Bastian needs the blood of a dragon, freely given, to break his curse, why not just ask his sister, Rowan, instead of going through all that trouble with Lucas? Unless he needed a full-blooded dragon? Either way, I enjoyed the book. I'm also glad Kendra Castle gives us a glimpse into Lucas's reformation and his own possible happy e [...]

    26. This book was great if you enjoy romance, supernatural beings, a brooding hero,an awkward but strong heroine, and interesting new worlds. The chemistry created between the three sisters(Skye, Poppy, and Catriona) is really entertaining and fun. Bastian is the ice mage that can melt any heart and win any battle. Found myself staying up way too late just to see what happened next. Plus the steamy scenes don't hurt one bit! Can't wait to read more from this author!lkb

    27. ABSOLUTELY, the best book in a long time! It has everything! The scotts, the castle, daemons, shifter wolves, dragons & witches! There were so many GREAT side stories happening, I had to keep reading! The only thing I wished was that Lucien & Poppy had their own story! I loved them the best, but I love grouchy alphas won over by the snarkie girl! BUT None the less, it made the book even better! I totally recomend it!

    28. Best book of the series now I wish she would write more, the place was interesting, the people plan ole fun. I really liked how the men are in the 2nd and 3rd book basically they let their women be zena bad. hahaha I liked it!This was a really good book I enjoyed the people (even the one's I didn't like in the first and second book) and the bad guys were written well. I really do hope she doesn't let this world die because I'd love to read more.

    29. Bk 3, in a trilogy. Picked it up because the authors name is mine, except for the last name obviously, and I thought it hilariously funny. Did enjoy the story, though it took a bit to get myself unconfused at the Dragons, werewolves, and Goddess women. Now I got to find the first two as the characters show up in this book.

    30. Great read with werewolves, dragons, witches and other magical beings.I liked this story hopefully there are more, truly compelling. Wonderful way to spend 4 hours. You don't need to read the first two books in series, but they're great too!
