    1. I really liked Savage Nature, the 5th book in Christine Feehan’s Leopard Series and is my favorite so far. I adored the two main characters Drake Donovan, powerful alpha male, who respects the heroine’s strength and independence, The heroine, Saria Boudreau was a character I could relate to. Despite the lonely life she has led since a child in the bayou, she has never lost her humanity…s, she’s a leopard shifter…something she had no idea about!!! Her many brothers believed that keeping [...]

    2. Mrs Feeham has a gift of writing in a very eloquent way! The vivid and lavish descriptions of the jungle and the Fighting scenes are so realistic, you feel like you are there in those scenes. that's what I felt reading this book, I was enthralled by the very accurate descriptions of the Surroundings and the characters. The Hero in this story is the ultimate Alpha male: half human half shifter, the predator, the hunter, the protector and the lover! he immediately recognizes his "mate" and his ani [...]

    3. Wordy, as Christine Feehan can be. But I still enjoyed it! Looking forward to stories about Saria's brother Remy, Elijah, and Joshua.Full review to be posted in Affaire de Coeur magazine, April issue: affairedecoeur.

    4. 3.25 ✭I liked this one okay. Drake was much softer than I expected for some reason but it was nice having a hero who knew almost instantly that Saria was his mate and didn't fight it or his feelings. Everything occurs within a week, so saying Saria wasn't sure about "forever" longer than Drake isn't really saying muchbut there ya go.Saria was an okay heroine. She could be reasonable when she needed to be, even though she had a very independent personality. She definitely does what she wants, w [...]

    5. As you all know, I am a monster Feehan fan. If she wrote the instruction manual to a toaster I would probably read it as long as I knew there would be a sex scene, therefore, if you are a Feehan player hater, feel free to take this review with a grain of salt. The leopard people are not normally my favorite, but my coworker told me to give the series a second chance and I am so glad I did! This book had everything I am looking for in a paranormal- a fun fast paced mystery, well drawn characters [...]

    6. Savage Nature is book 5 in the Leopard People series, by Christine Feehan. This is another fun read of the Leopard People’s intrigues in a bayou region of Louisiana. I love the world-building in a swamp so eloquently described.Saria Boudreaux, who is 8 years younger in family of five other brothers, all leopard shifters, made it easier for her to be comfortable in a swamp and marsh with dangerous animals as a photographer. However, she encountered a murdered body. Besides a knife, the person w [...]

    7. Love this series. It feels like it has been forever sense I have read anything new for this series. So it took me a chapter or two to have it click who Drake is. Then I was super excited. This was a wonderful read with a super hot Alpha male who knows his mate right off. I love how he would command and it was all in a smooth soft steely voice. Yummm Saria was the perfect for for him. She was really wonderful for me to read. I loved her personality. She was a grab life by the horns type of gal , [...]

    8. The story of Saria and Drake is another passion-filled adventure in the Leopard People saga.Feehan's descriptions of the beauty and dangers of the swamp resonated with this Florida girl (even though it was a Louisiana bayou setting). If you have ever shared water with alligators, the scene in which Saria leads Drake's team through the bayou at night was particularly terrifying.I agree with friends who expressed disappointment in Drake's treatment of Saria. Even though he is a very likable hero, [...]

    9. I love love loved this book. Drake was the man the moment he realized he found his mate it was on. Saria was a strong Female heroine in this book i think maybe the strongest i have read in PNR thus far, but that may have been spoken to soon. Anyway i loved her character she was a fun fearless female just the way i like for my heroines to be portrayed. This book also had great minor characters as well. Remy was soooo sexy i would love to read more about him Joushua as well. Give me more of these [...]

    10. Narrated by Karen White - Narration 4 1/2*Reviewed for AAR's Speaking of Audiobooks 8/11/11 likesbooks/blog/?p=6846With Savage Nature, the fifth in the Leopard series, Christine Feehan moves the setting from the Rain Forests of South America to the swamps of the Louisiana Bayou. She stays with her standard “couples are fated to be together” style but the story is interesting in other ways and moves at a fast pace. Beyond the main couple, Feehan’s other standard is to bring in a supporting [...]

    11. I'm surprised that I totally loved this book. I gave 2 stars to books 1, 2, and 3, and skipped 4 because the story line didn't appeal. So I approached this with trepidation. Christine Feehan sucked me right in. Generally, regardless of whether I end up liking the story, I enjoy her writing. The writing here seemed more down to earth and not quite as florid as the Carpathian stories (most of which I love, BTW) nor did it seem as wordy and mystical as the Drake series. For the first time in this s [...]

    12. I am big fan of Christine Feehan for years. She introduced me to paranormal romance and I never expected to like them so much. Of course, I love all her books, so I have higher standards when it comes to her. Some may hate her putting too much detail in everything, and a lot has accused her of repeating things over & over, she's still my "go to" author in the romance department. She never does anything half -halfheartedly. If she will tell a story about a marine biologist, she will bring us [...]

    13. Feehan was my first introduction to paranormal romance. I'd bought and loved one of her earlier gothic romances, so I bought her backlist from Dorchester with a coupon torn out from the back of a paperback. The books arrived-- and all I could think was "WHAT is this VAMPIRE crap?" Since I'd bought them, though, I figured I should pretend to read them I did. And I was hooked. One of the things I love most about Feehan is the way her heroes and heroines-- particularly the heroines-- have grown and [...]

    14. I really enjoyed this book. Drake Donovan is someone who's been in most of the books in this series and his leg is finally fixed and he can shift again. I liked Saria a lot. She was very strong (best swamp guide, stands up for herself) while also being emotionally vulnerable. I loved how honest and up front with her feelings she was. The Louisiana lair was interesting and it was nice to see Joshua also pulled in.

Rowr!!! I’ve waited for Drake’s story and I’m pleased to say that I feel this is the best one in the series. Feehan blends a sweet and steamy love story with action packed tension that kept me glued to t [...]

    16. Saria Boudreaux has grown up, alone for the most part, in the swamps of southern Louisiana. Something in the tangled growth and wild, untamed land settles her mind and soul as nothing else can. During her childhood, her five much older brothers were often absent for long periods, and her father, in his later years, was a bitter, cantankerous alcoholic who largely ignored the unruly Saria. Drake Donovan comes to investigate some secretive and disturbing allegations about a series of unexplained d [...]

    17. Another great Leopard series book from Feehan! This is the fifth in the series and can easily be read as a stand alone. Feehan's characters come alive for the reader and I could almost feel the humidity of the swamp while reading. I couldn't put it down and read it in an afternoon. Saria, photographer and swamp guide, has the Louisiana swamp in her blood. Her five brothers are shape shifting leopards; she'd caught them shifting in the middle of the night in the swamp when she was 10. She is 16 y [...]

    19. Saria Bordeaux, is part of a family of leopard shifter, so when she finds a dead body in the bayou, she knows she needs to find help, and knows that she can't turn to her brothers, when its obvious the one doing the killing is a shifter. Drake Donovan has been sent to investigate upon hearing about the killing, and is drawn to Saria in a way he has never been drawn to a woman before. Drake knows that there is much more to Saria than meets the eye, and is earnest in finding the killer. Saria, has [...]

    20. May 2015 - 5 StarsI loved this just as much the second time around and would still give it 6 stars if I could! Still love Saria & Drake and because re-reading the series back-to-back have no problems remembering characters :)September 2013 - Rated 5 StarsI need an extra star - has anyone got one? :)This book definately deserved 6 stars. The Leopard People have been my least favourite Feehan series but this book is definately the best of them all so far.I loved both the H & h and totally [...]

    21. So far, my favourite book in the Leopard series.Saria is a leopard unaware of her heritage. She knows that something is wrong in the bayou, afraid of everyone she asks for help Jake (the hero of Burning Wild). Jake sends Drake. Saria is immediately attracted to him, but incredibly confused by everything that is happening to her. The fact that there’s a serial killer after her doesn’t help. The moment Drake sees Saria he is aware that she is his mate – a mate he’s been waiting for a long t [...]

    22. Drake Donovan is a surprising Alpha male, one who wants a female as strong as he to stand by his side, not a submissive doormat. Saria Boudreaux is a woman who is innately strong and oblivious to the fact. She feared that Drake would be done with her once she no longer needs him. Boy, did she learn. The mystery in this book is complex, and would have been a satisfying story without the romance. The romance is also complex, and would have been a satisfying story without the mystery. Lucky readers, [...]

    23. As usual, Christine Feehan draws me into her world from the first chapter. Her ability to create and describe a place you may have never vistied or seen is amazing. You feel as if you are actually part of the environment. The world of shape shifter she has created is so realistic and believable it is almost hard to imagine that it is fiction. Her characters are always fantastic but I really liked Saria, the heroine, in this story. She is tough, confident, honorable and yet vulnerable. The hero i [...]

    24. The best in the series (that I have read so far anyway). I was excited to see this book was about Drake Donovan who we met in book 2 I think. Saria was incredibly capable and strong heroine, and a perfect match for Drake. I really enjoyed meeting this new lair and the suspense plot kept me guessing. I see the next book is about Remy finding his HEA and I look forward to reading it soon.

    25. I have had this sitting on my tbr pile since it first was released. I loved the previous one but this one didn't catch my attention right away. So when I was bored I picked it up and read it in one sitting. It was just as good as the previous. Nothing really new but still Feehan nows how to give readers what they want.

    26. Saria Boudreaux belonged to him, and he was going to have to steal her right out from under the noses of every single male in what looked as if it could be a considerable lair. And he had to do it right in the middle of a murder investigation. No small task, but there was no question he was looking forward to it. -Drake “Good evening. Nice of you to come calling,” he greeted, setting her on her feet. “You were supposed to be asleep,” she accused, sounding annoyed. “Were you planning o [...]

    27. Fifth in the Leopard People paranormal-romance series about a race of leopard shapeshifters. The couple focus in this story is on Drake Donovan and Saria Boudreaux in a Louisiana bayou. My TakeI liked this. While not as dramatic as the earlier Leopard People stories, Savage Nature has a very strong feminine lead in Saria who is not afraid to speak true or enjoy Drake's attentions. Nor does Drake come up short in his alpha dominance while having enough give to match his chosen mate. Even if it doe [...]
